If you live in the New York area and
are unable to attend E3 this year (given the hordes of sweaty, shoving geeks involved, it might not be such a great
loss), be sure to drop by the Nintendo World Store on 9 May. The store will be broadcasting Nintendo's keynote, an
event sure to host new DS games, Wii revelations and at least
one appearance by Shigeru Miyamoto dressed as a Nintendo character. Missing it would be quite appalling. For more information and an opportunity to RSVP for the event, check out Nintendo's official World Store website. Be sure to snap some pictures and send them to us!

By the way, according to Nintendo's N-Sider forums, they will be streaming the keynote conference as well. They say to check the website 30 to 15 minutes before the start and you should have no problem connecting.

"I know we said the name was 'Wii', however it was a trick. We wanted the entire community to come together with passion and fury, and the only way to do that was to give you a name so ridciulous, you would vent your anger! And that you did! The broken windshield of my new car is proof of this... No matter! Today, united together, we shall introduce the REAL name of the Revolution! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the Nintendo _________!"
*thunderous applause*
A guy can dream, right?

Damn American educational system!!!! That's the only thing (next to 3 trains, 6 blocks, and 1 angry, arabian taxi driver) keeping me from that and E3! Which isn't really fair at all seeing as how I live on Long Island.

The RSVP is for the event that is happening at the store that night from 6-8pm. During this time the store will be closed to the public, and there will be food catered, a DJ remixing Nintendo themes, tons of giveaways and stuff to do and play.
The e3 live feed will be shown at 12:30 first come first serve. You can definitely expect a line, I'm not sure how early it will start forming. 350 people will be allowed in, so get there soon. The live feed will also be played on several screens facing 48th street, so anyone who doesn't get in will be able to at least see it there. Audio out on the street is being considered as a possibility at this point.
After the conference, the store will be open to all, where several nintendo events will be going on throughout the day leading up to the VIP event that night from 6-8.
