Yes, it is a slow news day.As such, the possibility of Toshio Iwai, the man behind Electroplankton for the DS, commented to Nintendo of Europe that he could possibly get on board with creating a title for the Wii sometime in the future. When asked what his next project for Nintendo was and whether he was interested in working with the Wii or not, Iwai said "I am thinking of it." We realize that this comment could very well shatter your mind, but it's our job to report the most important news in the world.
Like I said, kind of a slow news day.

It's important to me. Electroplankton was and still is my favorite DS game. It's timeless.

Wouldn't it be bigger news if this guy /wasn't/ planning something for the Wii?

Lordy I hope they hit us with a bombshell, but something tells me to expect a dearth of info from Ninty for quite a while.

Oh god please, please, please!
I've been amazed at how much non-gamers have enjoyed Electroplankton---everyone I show it too, including people who think videogames are for people who don't bathe regularly, has been completely charmed. Several people have even bought a DS as their first-ever gaming system just to play Electroplankton!
A Wii version could have the same effect, especially since the greater media attention on the Wii could result in more people finding out about this strange and wonderful un-game.
