Finally, an excuse to put a ravishingly beautiful, veritably naked woman on the front page of this blog. According to the newest issue of Sports Illustrated for Kids (we, uh, tried really hard to find an image of that magazine's cover, but alas, we failed), the Wii has a confirmed U.S. release date of November 6th.All right. We know. It's freaking Sports Illustrated for Kids. However, it's quite possible that they got away with marketing murder due to the absence of the professionally trained verbal ninjas Nintendo likes to throw at the major gaming media outlets. Even if this is mere speculation, I mean, come on. It's gotta come out somewhere around then, right?
(Can't ... stop staring ...)
[Update 1: Silly us, we meant the sixth of November, not the seventh. Thanks, trusty commenters.]
[Update 2: This article has been debunked by Nintendo. Alas!]

The magazine states November 6th, not 7th.

I must take umbrage with your use of “veritably”, as the lady in question is not genuinely naked, though she is nearly or virtually naked, which is also very nice.
Re “Can't...stop staring...”: You do know that there are entire websites devoted to the unclad and semi-clad female form, do you not?
Also: Nov 7th, eh? That's veritably soon!

Magazine scan says November 6th. Or so I read. Joystiq said Nov. 6th too, and thats your brother's site.
I still call BS, because consoles are regularly released on a Sunday. Not many of us can camp out on a Monday, but most of us can on Sunday.

It says Nov 6. I've seen the scans.
As far as why SI:Kids? It's either a place to generate some interest in different markets (sports-minded kids), or a placeholder created by SI.
My guess is the second one. If Nintendo would give SI the details, they would get their own page. As it is, they are sharing it with the PS3. So my guess... is that this date is a guess.

Nintendo was founded on November 6. Nintendo Company, Limited (Japanese: 任天堂, ニンテンドー Nintendō; NASDAQ: NTDOY.pk, TYO: 7974 ) is a multinational corporation founded on November 6,1889 in Kyoto, Japan by Fusajiro Yamauchi. Interesting enough

^ So that means (if the date is true) the Wii releases on Nintendo's anniversary!

Ah, Matt you raise a good point. It all makes sense now! Why hadn't anyone pointed that out before?

looks like you didn't try very hard. Go outside and talk to a real woman rather than drooling over your keyboard.
