We're starting to seriously think the Wii will launch in October. Now enter a bold Joystiq informant who relayed a listing to Joystiq that told of a couple leaked Activision release dates for Wii titles. The listing, which is pictured above, shows Tony Hawk Downhill Jam with an October release date and Call of Duty 3, along with Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, having a release date of November. This image was hastily changed and the informant's inbox was on the receiving end of a revised listing that merely stated these games of having a release date of "Upon Wii launch." Interesting...
Joystiq was able to ascertain that the individual responsible for altering the listings was a part of Activision's international media relations team. Considering that Activision is one of the few third-party publishers in full support of the Wii, the idea of them knowing the final release date is not all that far-fetched.

Yeah, I kinda always figured it would be an October release. The real question is the date. Is it going to be the end, middle, or beginning of the month. I'm going to say near the end with high hopes of the beginning.

If I had to guess, I’d say a $199 basic package and a $249 bundle with more controllers and a game will release in late October, say an Oct 20 Japan release, Oct 22 in the US, and Nov 3 in Europe. That way all the main markets will have it before the PS3 hits the shelves.

Of the 5 games they have listed for preordering, 2 of them (Avatar and Spongefag) are listed as being shipped on October 2. However, the other 3 are listed as November 1. Now, I don't know about you, but to me that's a little too specific and early to be just a placeholder date. Both of the October 2 games are launch titles, so go ahead and put 2 and 2 together.
So going with that and the strong October 2 evidence from before, I think we might have figured it out. As of now, that means only 66 days, 11 hours, and 30 minutes.

The story of my life
Mom today was the best day of my life. Let me tell you why? It started off slow very. Three & a half courtiers in the game and were both tide seven. It’s the middle of the forth courtier and it’s our ball we get stop on the 10 yard line. Now all game I haven’t received one catch MOM so it’s first down on the 10 yard line. And like that boom I’m wide open pass thrown to me, I get hit and do a 360 and almost cough up the game, till my friend picked the ball up and turned it in for the Touchdown. But it wasn't over yet because who ever scored the next touchdown won. So the very next play we kicked the ball off to there station. And all that’s in my mind at this time is to redeem my self from the fumble that almost cost us the game. People say I was running faster then ever and had this look on my face of DETERMINATION, as soon as, the ball touches his hands all you heard was Smack!!! I couldn't believe it. FUMBLE!!!! I got up so fast, rushed to the football, picked it up, and ran it in for the WIN...
