You may remember, a few weeks ago, we reported on the notable absence of a major keynote presentation from Nintendo at this year's Tokyo Game Show. Evidence for Spaceworld? Maybe not. Some sleuthing has uncovered that Nintendo is in fact giving a presentation at the lesser-known Leipzig Games Convention entitled "Wii Prove Our Promise", clocking in at a full hour. It takes place on August 23rd, from 10:15 to 11:15 AM...mark your calendars, fanboys. So, is Nintendo still considering a Spaceworld expo, considering the recent (possible) cancellation of E3? Will everything be revealed in Leipzig, of all places? Less than a month till we find out...

I think it was that everything was going to be revealed by September, so there you go.
I say no SpaceWorld or Tokyo Game Show for Nintendo, but yes, they will reveal all at Leipzig Games Convention. Also, the Nintendo Fusion Tour will be showing off Wii around the US for the rest of us. Good job, Nintendo.
By the way, that's August 23, from 4:15 AM to 5:15 AM for those of us in the EST time zone.

They said all would be revealed by September, and now we know it's at Leipzig Games Convention. Nintendo will have no presence at Tokyo Game Show, and now there is no reason for a SpaceWorld. Nintendo is also touring Wii around the United States with this years Nintendo Fusion Tour, so there you go. It's all laid out now. We just have to wait.

They promised to give us a release date and price by September (not IN September, at least that's the original quote I read).
They also have to reveal:
Confirmed Launch Lineup
Virtual Console Pricing
Final Hardware Specs
Final Hardware Secrets?

vidGuy,
Virtual Console prices were hinted at by Nintendo already. They said this at around the time when people were saying that VC titles would be free since Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is free.
They said NES and SNES games should be expected to be around 3 to 5 dollars. N64 games should be expected to be around $10. Other system games were not talked about.

Really? The only pricing I've seen is the $5 to $10 mark that was originally translated as being for the virtual console games but was actually refering to new games offered via VC.
If NES and SNES are sub $5 I'll be happy. I'm not going to be buying many N64 games, but I still think $10 is too much.
Either way, an official pricing structure needs to be announced. I PRAY that they go with the same price for every game from the same console; it would suck to have to pay more for the more popular titles.

They only talked about new VC games. Not retro games. Basically expect new VC games around $5-10. Still need the official word on retro VC games.

Expect a launch price as well as date for every major territory. I'm also hoping for a somewhat confirmed list of launch titles.
I've also heard rumors that they will reveal 5 new games there as well. I'm hoping we hear more about RE Wii as well as Miyatomo's IP. I'm also hoping for the long shots of Punch-Out Wii and a Kid Icarus or maybe a Golden Sun 3.
