It wasn't long ago that Ubisoft announced what franchises they'd be bringing to the Wii, however one of their strongest franchises in Prince of Persia was strangely absent from that list. While we initially chalked it up to the trilogy of the environmental puzzle-solving Prince being complete, we're now happy to report that the Prince of Persia will in fact be hitting the Wii. While the spokesperson from Ubisoft relaying this information to IGN is nameless, we're going to take this one as truth at the moment. So are we to assume that the console will be getting some sort of compilation title or perhaps an updated version of one of the trilogy's installments, much like Prince of Persia: Revelations was on the PSP? Personally, we'd like to see Prince of Persia: Sands of Time touched up with new content and controls. Actually, that's not so bad of an idea!
If you'll excuse us, we have some daydreaming to do, mostly involving deadly environmental traps and how we are going to cleverly avoid them.

Well if the trilogy is over I hope it's just a remake of the first Prince of Persia, Sands of Time. That game had a charm and quality the latter two lacked. I think it'd be great to replay through that game with the Wiimote and a bit of an upgrade, visual or otherwise.

I thought Prince of Persia was a trilogy?
So is this Ubisoft's what, 8th confirmed game for the Wii? They've got 7 friggin' launch titles, it's just insane.

Okay listen Revelations wasn't that great of a game, they need to end Prince of Persia as a trilogy, and not continue to drag this out. The third was excellent, in my top 10 games of the PS2. They need to end this as a trilogy, Assasians is looking like an awsome game. For too many years have game companies made a fourth of the game that was the worst out of all of them and some cheap remake of the first one is completly turning me off. Yea it was good, for it's time. Four years have passed since it's release and I already own a copy, I don't want to pay 40$ for another on the Wii which I am still considering if I want to buy or not. Not just Ubisoft but all these gaming companies have to work their asses off on coming out with something that is new and orignal, I am losing interest in gaming, and two years ago I could play it all night long. God of War and RE4 are the only things that have really blown away all the old types of gaming I was use to. Now I am just rambling on so Vasi out.
