The newly-announced Battalion Wars 2 is playable in Leipzig, and the initial opinions are positive. Graphically, the game sports little difference from the prior GameCube version, but word is that the controls for BWii are smooth and the gameplay is interesting enough that the game manages to feel new and fresh. It's not all roses, though -- IGN reports, after their time with the game, that a few of the maneuvers feel a little awkward, but from their short time with the game, these bumps didn't seem insurmountable. Apparently, BWii will offer several online multiplayer modes, but all that is confirmed at this time is a four-player Capture the Flag. In tanks. Or maybe even in boats. Oh yeah.

Sounds good. I never played the original, so I might have to pick that up if it's cheap by now.

Commenting on other's "LEVEL OF INTELIGENTS" should probably be left to others. And you really do make a far stronger point if you can shed the 12-year-old fanboy image that you've portrayed so well in your post.

Back on topic... The original Battalion Wars was a ton of fun... at least until I got frustrated on a difficult level facing the following problems
1. Terrible allied AI. (The enemies go right for the guys they're good against, but your own men seem to have trouble notiving enemies are around until they notice they're dying.
2. No reinforcements or ways to make troops. (The best thing about Advance Wars was scrapped. Lame.)
3. No way to run. (You laugh at me now, but try running through a ten-mile-long level at only one speed.)
Now be aware I didn't even get to the plane levels, which I'm pretty sure they had, but the game is really hard at some points. HOWEVER - I'm very sure that any beef I have with the first one can definitely and easily be improved in the next game. That being said, I'm pretty excited for it, especially multiplayer. ;D

I could stand for a little "UNBIASED TRUE REPOTING". Of course, I assume you're talking gardening, right? The last time I had someone help me move some of my garden flowers inside for the chillier weather, half of them died, and all they said were that trees are so much cooler anyway. =/
...Cool. I'll be picking this one up for sure. I do happen to prefer IGN's coverage to 1up's.

Batallion Wars rocked! True it was difficult, but hey! Not everyone is apt to be a military strategist. The ackwardness of keeping the action from the 1st person perspective could be seen as a plus. AI was tricky... Specially when giving out orders units ended up doing crazy kamikazi stunts. I hope the Wii interface hits the spot here... Aiming should be much easier with the pointer... But what I'm really looking forward too... is opening the keg o whoop a$$, to blow u up back to the stone age in multi-mode! givin a leason or two about raw tactics!

I picked this up last weekend. I hadn't played the original but have had my eye on this one for sometime. It's fun, still a bit challenging at times, but lately that's a good thing. I'm finding it difficult to find challenging games on the wii, can find lots of fun games, but nothing challenging. It's a nice change, and the online play isn't bad at all, takes maybe 5 minutes at most for a game to start. If your a fan of action/strategy this is a game to pick up.
