A delicious, full-course meal of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption videos has been served up by IGN. As one of our most anticipated These videos showcase not only some mouth-watering gameplay, but also a dazzling attention to detail in the graphics. The particle effects look better, textures look more crisp, and a cutscene of Samus floating out in space causes us to convulse in excitement. We really can't wait to get our hands on this game

Absolutely. It's not quite 360 level, but then again, these are the starting games and they still look pretty gorgeous. Something people fail to realise is the ultimate power 360 and PS3 hold has alot to do with high-def. If you scaled them down to machines that supported only up to 480p, you'd likely get a much less sigficant difference in power.
Also, these being early titles, we're likely to see 360 level graphics that are of the 360 launch by the 2nd or 3rd generation of Wii games. By the end of Wii's life, I can see graphics working up to being that of the early mid-life of 360's. That's just how graphics on game systems work. You push the hardware as far as you can until you can't push no more. Then when people grow tired of that limit, you move on to something with more juice.
Wii's added that bit more already AND given us some very nice gameplay. That's the deadly "good-looking nerd" combination we dare not think is possible.

I'm sorry guys, I'm looking forward to the system's release and this game as much as anyone, but those graphics are NOT anything to write home about IMHO. In fact, when I saw those clips, the first thing I thought was that I would love to see a Metroid game running off of more robust hardware. Yeah, it looks better than Metroid Prime, the models are clearly more complex and the draw distance is impressive, but it doesn't exactly scream out to me "next gen." Of course, these are my impressions based on my viewing the low-res non-IGN insider clips. I'm sure it looks a lot better at full resolution. And, at any rate, it's the control scheme that I'm most excited about.

Everyone needs to get over the fact that not every good game will come out at launch. Yeah, they told us this one would, but it's not the end of the world! Zelda should hold you over just fine.

Holy shizz. I'm sold. These videos do look a lot better than the earlier gameplay footage. And my jaw hit the floor when that ship crashed into that one guy. It all seems pretty challenging and impressive... all before Samus gets the freakin' Missile Launcher. Wow, I hope every game can boost its visuals to around these levels *coughElebitscough*.

I wouldn't bet on it. If a Wii game has lower end visuals, then it's probably more than a hardware issue, but a concious decision by the developer to put more investments into control and gameplay. It's the same trade off for all the time. It's just a matter of finding balance.

MP3 looks very polished...in fact it looks like its the only hardcore game so far ready for launch. COD3 that was shown have very poor textures and just look very washed out. I am hoping thats the very early build made avaliable for show and to see if the general audience likes the control scheme. I am sure that MP3 is pushed back to add the online features that Nintendo is currently doing extensive test on.
