With all the commotion regarding the Wii itself, we almost forgot about the games!
This video does an excellent job of showing the new way the Wiimote will work with Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Say goodbye to boring button combinations and say hello to slashing the baddies yourself. Gameplay is smokin' and we can't wait to get our Zelda-hungry paws on it. As always, click the continue link to check out this Link-tastic video.

Is it just me, or does the camera in these Zelda demos drive anyone else crazy? I mean I love Zelda beyond all recognition of possible expressions through vocabulary, but the camera just seems to be...retarted...slow... Anyone?

Why do people look all tense and stiff when they use the wiimote?

Link was always a left-handed swordsman in the past.

I'd play lefty if they'd let us choose Link's handedness, just to be true to Link.

It'd be nice if you should pick your handedness, especially if you are ACTUALLY left handed and want to play wiimote in the left + nunchuck in the right.
Heck, I'm a righty, but I'd play lefty just to be true to Link.

You couldn't see the screen well enough to really get a feel for whats going on, not good enough to even post in my opinion. Kind of a tease really.

This is actually making me have second thoughts about getting a Wii. There seems to be a 'screw the lefties' mentality toward controls on the Wii. Is it really that hard to include a right/left handed options? I already figured Metroid Prime was going to be a pain to play left-handed. Now Twilight Princess will be too? Is this going to be the shape of games to come?

"screw the lefties"? Why? The remote has everything centered, so you can use it with the right or left hand equally easily. The nunchuck is a general shape, so it's easily held in either hand. The comment from Miyamoto regarding making Link right-handed for the Wii version of the game was, that, in watching people play the Wii at E3, he noticed most gamers hold the remote in their RIGHT hand -- which is the sword in-game.
That's it. You want to be left-handed? Go for it. Here's what you do: Put the remote in your left hand. Pick up the nunchuck with your right hand. Oh my God, you're playing left-handed! Doesn't even require an in-game option, because you're still pointing the remote at the damn sensor bar.
Maybe the in-game example graphics, if any, would look odd. But that's not preventing you from playing left-handed. It -would- be a good thing to see, in games like Wii-sports, an option for your avatar to be a "south paw". But I think that's been a problem since video games hit the market, period. There's nothing new about that... the only thing "new" is the Wii-mote can be used by either hand just as easily as the other.

Nearly all of the Legend of Zelda games feature a different Link. So there's no need to "stay true to Link", this one's a righty.

if any controller since atari has been easily catered to the southpaws, then its the wii.
Gabe, exactly.
