One of the posters over at the official Nintendo forums got their hands on some boxes for the Wii console and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. This isn't to be considered the final box design for Twilight Princess or the final design for the Wii packaging either. Still, the above picture does it for us.
Please don't ask us what "it" is ...

Gorgeous. White DVD case and a white spine. Very classy... sets it apart from the other consoles' games.

I too quite like the white spine - it will really set the Wii titles apart in your library (much the same way that the Xbox green cases were a nice touch). Presently, all the game spines look too similar.
I like.

I noticed the same thing....a bunch of games side by side on my shelf all with uniform white spines complete with repeating Wii logo at the top and titles/logos in the center.. It looks so...neat and clean...spiffy. It matches the white theme with the console and controller and DS lite. Suprised though, that this isn't the GOLD standard like most Zelda games.
I vant one, I vant one!

Oh, it is sooo the hotness. I agree with the others, the White spine of the game cases will definitely help the games stand out. Not only in our game shelves, but also on the department store shelves.
I can't wait for launch day.

I hope mirror mode is an OPTION, and NOT mandatory, in Twilight Princess Wii. Otherwise, I'll get the GameCube version.

After a few moments consideration, I really like what Nintendo's marketing department is doing here. Putting myself in the shoes of a non-gamer, seeing this box in a shop would be totally different to seeing other system boxes - e.g. http://empire2.servepics.com/2006/6/2/33980xT.jpg, http://i11.ebayimg.com/05/i/06/c6/18/26_1_b.JPG (in fairness to microsoft, the 360 box doesnt, but still feels too 'technical') - which have the system displayed prominantly. I finally think I understand the name properly now I have seen this, as the image of my mum saying "what does a Wii do?" springs to mind. To me, the inclusion of a human hand is very important in promoting this image of informality, as is the central placing of the Wii name. Its so fantastically simple and totally belies the complex technical wizardry within (notice the way the 360 box [http://i6.ebayimg.com/03/i/06/ec/90/52_1.JPG] has the lines of small type which look like the specifications you find on computer peripherals). Congrats, Nintendo! I'm with you all the way on this one.

The game cases and Wii boxes like that showed up at my Gamestop early this week. Though, I looked at the back of one of the Zelda boxes, and it had nothing on it. I really hope that means that we'll be getting the gold edition games instead of the normal ones.

These are the EXACT ebgames/gamestop boxes. Usually you get extra sleves and cases to make than you have room for. The guy/gal prolly just brought them home and snapped a pic. The Zelda box WILL be gold, well, at least for those who pre-ordered anyway. You know on the front where it says "Wii"? well that same area is on the back but it shows the type of controllers(s) used and mulitplayer stuff. When one player it shows one wiimote with the number 1 in it, when multi-player it still has one wiimote but with a 2 or 3 or 4 in it. If you use the nunchuck in the game, it shows an extra little icon that is a nunchuck.

First thing I thought when I saw the TP box was how pretty all those Wii games are gonna look lined up on my book case. I mean, I'm getting like 8 on launch and the rest two weeks later, and they are gonna look so pretty all lined up - can't wait!!!
