Thanks to some new screenshots of the upcoming launch title Excitetruck, it now indeed looks as though we called it. That's right: if the picture here is any indication, the arcade racer will be able to read .mp3 files from your very own SD card and insert them into the game, a la the Xbox and Xbox 360. It's a nice little feature, and the ability to rock out to our latest find on Pandora while catchin' some air is quite enticing indeed.Does this feature matter to you guys? More importantly, how many games are actually going to support it? Only

This feature is not relevant to me. All my music is encoded in the AAC format which is part of the .MP4 standard. Why are Nintendo only supporting .MP3 for music if their console can play videos from digital cameras in the .MP4 format?

sol, i think they are wanting to support the majority first... adding other formats later wouldn't be difficult

I think this is a fantastic feature. I used it for Burnout on my XBox and was delighted to be able to replace its annoying teen angst soundtrack with something more listenable. Kudos to Wii developers for finally getting with this particular program...

This is very cool. Its one of the reason why the Xbox 360 has held my interest for so long. If Wii supports this kind of feature, that would be more than excellent.

Great track, although I was thinking more along the lines of "Red Barchetta".

It *should* be able to stream music from your home network.
Seriously, we have the technology, let's start actually using it, kids.

Not that big of a deal to me, but
the idea of jamming out to Fantomas
while grabbing major air is putting a smile
on my face.
They need to have this on Downhill Jam as well.
That would be a bigger deal to me personally.
