
With the launch of the console in Japan over the weekend and selling out quickly after, the Wii has broken 1 million units sold worldwide. With figures resulting in around 600,000 units sold since launch in the US, plus the 400,000 units sold at launch in Japan, it looks like Nintendo has met their goal. In the linked article, it says a million units in the America by early December. Last I checked, I don't think Japan is in the Americas, but then again, early December lasts another week and a half. Basically, at this point though I think it's safe to say that there are more Wiis in homes than PS3s in existence, and by a fair margin.
