1UP is stating that Street Fighter II: The World Warrior will soon be available via the Wii's Virtual Console service, allowing players to toss hadoukens and smash grills with flash kicks on the new system. 1UP believes this based on a recent ESRB rating approval, which you can view here, causing us to believe that it could be possible for us to get our hands on the game as early as this coming Monday. If this turns out to be true, the game would more-than-likely cost 800 Wii Points ($8 USD) and offer no online play, widescreen support or new game modes. Obviously, this causes one to compare and contrast the Street Fighter offering on Microsoft's Xbox Live service, but at least we can say playing it on the Wii won't be as tough as it is to use that d-pad on the Xbox 360.

Yeah, the d-pad on the Xbox 360 is TERRIBLE!!! Other than that, I love that controller. I tried to play an emulated SF2 on my PC using the Xbox 360 controller and I could not for the life of me do Guile's Sonic Boom or any move which requires you to go quickly from down to up or left to right. Nintendo's patented d-pad design is definitely the best.

Even if it's the best, it's the best at NOT being an arcade stick.

Too bad I already have the SNES version of SF2(And SSF2) sitting on my shelf, along with a Super Advantage. While not as good as the arcade version, it's still a great game.
Should also control nicely with a Hori Digital or the Classic Controller(Much love for the CC, it's among the best controllers I've ever used)

The 360 (And Xbox 1 and GC, etc...) DPad may blow, but after using the Wii's DPad I have to say it's not a whole lot better. I've seen some pretty good 3rd party arcade joysticks though.
