In the latest promotional trailer for Far Cry Vengeance, a new inhabitant of the island, and enemy to Jack Carver, is revealed. Frankly, we're absolutely frightened of this new enemy and anxiously await your input.

Not the most frightening thing in the game! Though... not sure what is; the horrible graphics or the terrible AI!
Granted despite bing absolutely terrible in both these aspects, still a pretty fun game, just don't even expect PS2 level graphics from this game, personally I expected this to look at least comparable to the PC version from 3 years ago, maybe without the Bump Mapping but the original only used it sparingly anyway.(I heard the Wii doesn't have a pixel shader, not sure if thats true or not). But either way, no excuse to have it look worse than a 3 year old PC game on lowest settings.

It's great how companies are starting to intergrate their characters from other games into eachothers.

As great as the Wii is, graphics are a fair complaint here and in GT Pro Series. Where is the AI? Why do the enemies look 2D? Why the hell do you wag the controller to regain health?
Please, Ubisoft. Quality over quantity. :(

Momoma: lol, I know my last post sounded a little graphic whorish but seriously I'm usually the graphics don't matter guy, hell, I clock most of my Wii time with Wii sports, Monkey Ball, Bomberman '93, and the N64 port of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It's just this game looks so bad it's practically graphical blasphemy. And it's not purposely simple or compensation for limited technology, it's lazy programming and/or directing. It's stuff like this that's going to be brought up to pull the unenlightened away from the next gen Wii to the incrementally shiny 360 or PS3. I own neither of the later two, and only have long term plans to own either one, and thats a 360 to get those few franchises that just wont be on my Wii. Red Steel was a graphically modest, but visually appealing, shooter and I've heard get gets pretty beautiful further in, but suffered from some pretty bad bugs (anyone else get some flying corpses during the first level?) I'm not saying that all games have to rock HD and Per-Pixel Shading, but grass should not generate five yards in front of me and shadows should not look like they are made of Legos. I'm not a graphics whore but there is a difference between simplistic/modest/limited graphics and poor graphics work, and Far Cry Vengeance for the Wii clearly falls under the latter

How far away is this game from shipping? this looks like an early build at best, this reminds me of goldeneye, if this was a GC launch title people would be pissed....

Well said, sir. Having not played the game I will admit I was more or less just talking smack aimlessly. I will also admit that although I feel like games like Elebits or Katamari don't *need graphics to be great, the undeniable visual limitations of the Wii will be its biggest obstacle if it seeks longevity of any kind. Hopefully Nintendo and its allies will understand this and make up for the physical reality with creativity.

The complaints on the graphics are valid, but look at the way the player moves. That reminds me of a mouse/keyboard style of play, rather than dual analog. You can tell more by the way the view moves than by the action in the inset of the player's hands. Now, Nintendo just needs to get some decent online multiplayer matching system. Still, I wouldn't buy *this* game looking like this. But I would buy *a* game that works like it. Here to MP3: Corruption!
