Yes, you read that correctly. We are without Wii this weekend. It is sad, we know, but such is the nature of the holidays. See, we're incredible procrastinators, so we still have to pick up Christmas gifts for our relatives. That activity is sure to eat up tonight and a majority of tomorrow, leaving us time to wrap and prepare said gifts for our travels on Sunday, where we'll be visiting relatives. And our relatives aren't all that into gaming! So that means we can't bring our Wii (it's sad, but there won't even be a TV where we're going) and instead are packing our DS Lite in the hopes of finding somewhere quiet to get our fix. Still, not everyone is as unlucky as we are, so we assume a lot of you will be able to get your game on this weekend.
What are you playing? Perhaps you're going to tear up some mud in Excite Truck or save a few lives in Trauma Center: Second Opinion? Or will you and the family be playing some multiplayer Wii Sports? Let us know!
Past posts: What were you playing?

Not since the Atari 2600 has my ma touched a game console. But this weekend I will be taking her, my pa, and maybe sis on in some Wii tennis and stickball. When by my lonesome, I shall be working my way through Mario 64 and Paper Mario (best Gamecube game I had never played). And I can't wait for Super Castlevania this Xmas morning.
(This whole entry was Wii-entered, btw)

I will be playing Zelda: TP this weekend (I've been stretching that game out to unimaginable lengths...I never want it to end.)
I also will log some time into Trauma Center: Second Opinion and possibly unlock some more mini games in Rayman Raving: Rabbids. If I need some more Wii goodness, I'll recreate the Packers win against the Vikings last night (maybe make it a bit flashier though) on Madden 07 (great game, best Madden 07 version by far...love the controls and the forecast channel input), and top it off with some Call of Duty 3 and Wii Sports, and if I'm feeling courageous, I may try to suffer through the rest of Red Steel.
As for the VC--I think I may try to beat my high school on Mario Bros., finish the first quest in Zelda, or try out Bonk or Ristar. On Christmas, I'll have even more retro goodness, as I will be downloading Super Mario Bros and Castlevania.
There is a lot of gaming to be had this weekend, as you can see from my list...
And if I happen to get EBA, Yoshi's Island 2, Clubhouse Games, or Final Fantasy III as Christmas gifts, my DS may get some serious action, as well.

Well, this weekend i'll be playing alot of Zelda: Twilight Princess, as i've only played 4-5 hours so far and am on about the tenth room in the first chamber.
As always, i'll be playing Wii Sports everday, trying to keep my fitness age in the 20-30 range. Every day its been changing, ranging from 80 and now to 28. Also, i'll be trying to get the platinum medals on Wii Play. I currently have most of them on silver.
Finally, l might play some Red Steel this week, but i've not really got into it yet.

I will be curled up in a corner somewhere, silently weeping to myself wishing I had a Wii to play on. How long will it be before I no longer have to try and arrive at Target before 6am?
Where oh where has my little Wii gone?

I will also be Wii-less this holiday season, as I have both a job and a life and am unable to camp out at random stores at 3 AM in the hope of getting one. I did get some Wii component cables today (the Nintendo ones) so that when I do get my Wii seven or eight decades from now, I will be all set to hook it up to my TV. Of course, by the time the Wii becomes available to all of us with lives and jobs, all TVs will be holographic and we will be driving flying cars and we will be vacationing on Mars while answering our phone calls via cranial implants, so I doubt my new cables will be viable. :)

I packed up my Wii and drove 8 hours to my mom's house. We played bowling and tennis. She beat me at tennis, but I beat her in bowling. She just loves the Wii!...as do I.
