And you know what that means ... new games! Unfortunately, it looks like Nintendo has one hell of a hangover (we can't blame them, we were up till 6 AM ourselves), and they only managed to spit out two rather inauspicious titles: Baseball and Urban Champion, both for the NES. After five hundred points each, we maintain that both playing baseball and punching someone in the face are both far more enjoyable And by the way, fellow fanboys, Happy New Year! Did your megaton party involve raucous Wii-playing? As you know, there was a more important countdown in Times Square around a month and a half ago, so if you played right through midnight, wish yourself a happy belated 2007 and check the ball-drop on your TiVo. Just kidding. We know you've already erased that to make room for the next episode of Heroes.

Wow, I'll stick with playing the scenes of Urban Champion in Wario Ware.

Hey! Where are the good SNES games?! I'm dying to see some old school RPG action. Maybe some Chrono Trigger or Earthbound? Heck, even some good ol' Final Fantasy would be nice. There are so many, yet none are out for the VC yet!
(PS, reave I can't wait for classic marios either)

My family had a two hour Wii bowling tournament before midnight. It's the first time my whole family has actually played video games together (and at Christmas my grandma and grandpa played). The Wii sure made it a fun family New Years. I got schooled by all of them.. but it was still fun.

This is why I love some of your posts on this site. Wii, Hangovers, and Heroes all in one article! 3 of my favorite things.
New Years was good. Hope everyone has a good and fun year. I brought the Wii to a party. It was received extremely well. I think there are now 4 or 5 more people joining the thousands and thousands of people still trying to get their hands on a Wii. Nintendo was right. Playing is believing. Its crazy just to see people who neve rplay video games having a great drunken (or even sober) time playing some WiiSports bowling or hitting some crazy jumps in Excite Truck.
Here's to an exciting 2007 for Nintendo!
(...Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Wario, Pokemon, not 1...not 2...but 3 Final Fantasy titles, A handful of Dragon Quest spinoffs not to mention the exclusive Dragon Quest IX, Phoenix Wright, SSB Brawl, constant VC updates and we're only scratching the surface!?!?! Looks like it'll be a great year for Nintendo.

They're being too slow with Virtual Console releases. There's only one N64 title, and the remake for DS is much better. Bring out more, Nintendo

I love it. Wii is only out for less than a quarter and people are complaining that more VC titles aren't out there. Wait till the market is saturated with Wiis and we aren't waiting for them to be in stock. Plus when Korea gets their Wiis. The VCs should be pouring out like crazy.

Yeah, everyone just wait! I don't even have a Wii and you're complaining about the Virtual Console titles. You're better off than me. I'm still playing my N64 and NES. :(
