Before people started crying because they'd tossed their Wiimotes into their televisions, darts on the Wii almost seemed viable. Now it just seems like a whole series of accidents waiting to happen, and yet it looks like someone's going to do it anyway. While this one definitely comes from the rumor patrol at NeoGAF, it seems pro dart player Raymond van Barneveld knows something we don't about an amorphous Nintendo dart game. Hmm. A true sucessor to Wii Sports, perhaps? We'll wait to toss the confetti (or our Wiimotes), but it's an interesting rumor. One forum poster did make the very relevant point that one could simply, y'know, buy a dartboard, but if darts came as part of a pack, we could perhaps stand to foot that price.

Mokeyball has a darts minigame. If your not limp wristed or retarded, you will not throw the controller. Regardless of the thickness of your strap, err...skull.

Two words: Monkey Darts.
Also, why can I never find a review directly comparing Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz to Rayman Raving Rabbids? They're obviously the same kind of game, for the same purchase, but I have yet to find anything telling me if I really need RRR if I already have SMB.

The kiddie game Barnyard for the Wii actually had a dart tossing minigame in it as well. By the way.

Perhaps this is all part of a secret plan Nintendo has to ruin TVs to force upgrades sooner so NEXT generation they can come out with a hard-hitting graphics powerhouse. You heard it here first, folks.

Monkey Darts was only OK.
Author X: I owned both SMBBB and RRR. I would recommend not getting RRR as it doesn't actually have that many games (70 games consisting only of about 20 actual different games). and only a few allow for simultaneous play.

Author X, Monkey Ball and Rayman aren't quite as similar as you might think. Monkey Ball is really only worth it for the main single-player game, which is quite fun although extremely difficult. The minigames are pretty much throw-aways. They clearly were going for quanitity over quality and it shows. Rayman has more polish in the mini-game department, so if you're looking for multiplayer or just for various ways to use the remote, you're better off with that.
