Seems Wired has a jones for the forthcoming Cooking Mama, as they hail it as this year's best game at the recent Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas. The cooking sim, with its Iron Chef-inspired multiplayer mode is, according to the Wired staff, a great example of innovative Wiimote application -- something that isn't always there when it comes to these early third party titles. They've not been the only ones to praise the title recently, but tagging on a 'best of show' in games is a step further head for the Majesco-published game.Cooking Mama sizzled at CES

I wonder what other Wii games were there at the Show, and how Wario Ware did if it was present. Seems like good news for Majesco, as most reviews I've seen of the DS and Wii versions were only lukewarm about it.
Just noticed that the Nyko Wii-mote charger stand also got an award.

i saw the video presentation of this game and thought it looked fun. I think they should have added some sound coming out of the wiimote (say when your chopping food) but im just nit picking.

I don't think it's a nit pick Justin, the speaker in the remote adds more depth then I expected it to.
I'm looking forward to pure fun games like this more then the gazillion first person shooters we can expect over the Wii's life span.
