It's been too long since we've been able to post about games releasing for the Wii, but finally we have reached the bright light at the end of the dark tunnel. There's only one game releasing this week, however it has been one of our most desired titles:
- WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Gonna spend my Best Buy gift card on this game. I wasn't planning on getting it, but now it's getting great reviews. Got a 9.1 on Gamespot, and given Gamespot's usual bias against Nintendo, this is incredible. It must be damn good.

I have a genuine question, as a non-bias Wii-owner.
Can someone explain what this is about, and why it's fun and inventive. I must admit that photo doesn't make it look like a game I'd want to play, but rather than everyone bickering back and forth, I'd love to hear some of the actual merits of it.

Have you ever played a Wario Game? Did not think so. They are collectively some of the funniest, innovative, and fun games out there.

i feel pretty much the same as #5. i'm not exactly sure what's so much fun about it this game. the impression i get is some childish game with lots of bright colors and unexciting mini games, but don't take that as an isult to the game. i'd really like to know what makes this game fun and whether or not i should get it, as a wii owner. thanks.

Warioware is a colelction of micro games. They each only last a few seconds and in that time you have to do some action on the screen. As the game progresses your time gets shorter and it gets more manic. Theres also typically some unlocakable mini games. Personally i only have paleyd the original gamebboy advance one and its alot of fun. This one is suppsoed to have a multiplayer mode where you pass hte wiimote around. It look sliek itll be a riot. Its a silly zany game thats not serious or deep but just focused on fun. If thats not something that youd like maybe you shouldnt get it. If youre unsure how bout rent it to try it out. Personally im excited to get it.

I am a big fan of Wario Ware, so this is a must have. I love the weird sense of humor in these games. Can't wait to play multi-player with this!
Oh and #9, Unfortunately, Wii Play was delayed until next month :(

Got Warioware on Sunday - so far it's been the most stupid, ridiculous, awesome fun.
I love the crispness of the cartoon graphics, the intensity as the stages get faster, the preposterous aims behind each microgame. And the characters! If you're a cat lover, wait for Jimmy T's stage. Or is that Jimmy P? Hard to remember right now.
Awesome game. And it was also £35 on release day (other decent games are all £40.) Hopefully that'll signal a bit of a price drop since so far we've been paying the equivalent of 78USD. So whoever was moaning about £50 for this game, count yourself lucky! :D

I picked it up on friday too, at €49.99 as opposed to the "normal" €59.99 most Wii games cost here. The same price as GC games when they just came out. Of course, they're still cheaper than XBox 360 games.
Anyway, Wario Ware Smooth Moves is pretty damn good fun. It's one of those things that can seem stupid until you play it. The controls are VERY tight, the graphics are smooth and crisp, and the voice of the form instructor is awesome.

Please go and sign in this petition to bring GTA to the wii and shut up all those ps3/360 fanboys who keep claiming that GTA will be the downfall of the wii.

I picked up WarioWare yesterday, and it is the most giddy fun I've had in a long time. It is a lot like the experience of watching the first season of Pee-Wee Herman where it feels like the whole show has changed in the blink of an eye. Totally fun for thirty minutes, but exhausting when you're done. Good to have games that don't demand 4 hour sessions though.

I didn't get the Game Cube until it was out for a year and a half. Becasue of that there were tons of used games to pick up for 40$ (canadian). But I got the Wii on launch day, and allthough i'm willing to pay full price for Zelda, I'm gonna wait until the used copies start showing up for alot of other games. I'll buy Metroid and Mario new, cause my skin will start bleeding as soon as it's out but Wario Ware for 50 bucks? Even though I love it, I don't think i'm THAT into it. Anyone else buy mostly used?
