"Maybe we should have researched this."
Get used to hearing that line, because it's probably going to be one of the most-quoted statements from the radio contest in Sacramento that seems to have resulted in the death of at least one woman. Footage from the show has turned up on YouTube and seems noteworthy as this story develops further. It is, however, striking in that it is likely to be the center of a lot of arguments regarding who here, if anyone, is at fault.

Wow, I have to say, this just pisses me off.
When someone calls and says that you might die, you should listen, and they should maybe think that they should take her to a hospital after she couldn't walk?
GOD!

I didn't hear anything surprising in this audio shortage. But next events frighten me

Hearing this before the death probably would have made me just roll my eyes. After the death? It makes the DJs sound incredibly uncompassionate. It's actually kind of disturbing.

It's horrible that someone had to die over this, especially a mother of three. I mean, I can't even imagine what life is going to be like for those kids knowing how their mother ended up dieing.
Just.. horrible really.

Or maybe the kids will grow up being the most well-developed humans ever, and will love and cherish the memories of their mother and always be willing to risk their lives to make friends happy.

This audio should have never gotten out... seems like more people are making fun of the fact that someone died that was trying to win something for their kids (which happened to be a wii). I think if something like this continues to be blogged then maybe a donation page or an official family page devoted to this should be included. Why donations when there is a lawsuit pending? I rather donate money to this lady's family that wonder if the lawsuit will be won or not.

(Yay for no more confirmation e-mails! Welcome to 21st Century!)
I heard a bunch of the audio on O&A on XM last week. Like they said, it's really creepy listening now, already knowing the ultimate outcome. And I think with a lot of the comments they made, along with the urgent calls from some listeners warning them of the danger, far exceed the strength of any waiver the contestants signed.

I'm a pretty big fan of the wiifanboy/joystiq crew and rarely let a day go by without perussing the digital offerings. As such, I've read a quite a bit about this contest at just have one question for this post...
"....to have resulted in the death of at least one woman." Where, if anywhere, has it been suggested that more than one person died? I'm willing to let most double/triple posts, sloppy editing and the like go, but this seems like underhanded sensationalisium (possibly MORE people are dead???? I'm defiitly linking this article!!!) It was tragic and dumb, but please don't try and put more than there is to the story...

"death of at least one woman"
Is that really neccesary? I'm pretty sure nobody else was even harmed.
