If you're a keen observer of the site, and an avid commentator (we love those most of all, y'know), then perhaps you've seen the change in our commenting system. Yes, we've adopted the newer style that Engadget has enjoyed for many a moon. The new system allows commentators to have one name and password that works across all of our network sites, totally doing away with those pesky emails that demand confirmation before a comment shows up.
Now, with the new features comes a few snags, sadly. You will not be able to change your password for a little while (we're working on it!) and occasionally you'll notice a URL linked to your name, or your name for that matter, might come out with a couple mistakes. We're also fixing that, as well.Your password will be included in the first confirmation email, so be sure to not trash that one until we can roll out the password change feature.
Once again, I, as well as the rest of the staff, would like to thank you for your continued support of the Nintendo-based fanboy sites. You guys make this all possible for us, as well as enjoyable, and we couldn't do it without you. Hopefully the new comment system will see some more input on topics from those who have been turned away from the comment system of the past.
Thanks, and keep reading!

I think this will be much better than the previous system.
I can't tell you how many times it had turned me away

The login feature has been sorely needed for some time so it is a welcome addition.
However, I'm disappointed that the Star system was trashed and that top commentors/star-earners are no longer featured in a column to the right. I don't know if you have the ability to reinstate this or if you are linked forever with your big-brother-big-sister sites in features.
Also, the site NEEDS a few static threads in a message board. This actually is more important on heavier traffic sites like Joystiq, but it would still be helpful here. Stickied threads could be used to keep all users abreast of the most imporant news (such as the start of the Wii News Channel) which might get lost amongst newer but less important pieces. Also, it would be a spot that could host the more common discussions/arguments so that the comments in each news piece would staty ON TOPIC instead of going into some graphics v. gameplay debate, as is common on Joystiq.
Can't wait until I can change my password to something I can remember and therefore actually use! ;)

It's better to have a password than always having to verify a post via email...

I like it better, except that there doesn't seem to be a way to include a web site anymore. How am I suppose to whore my friends game site?

Looks good to me, as long as it will 'remember me' like it says it will, the engadget site doesn't ever seem to remember my password

Hmm. It seems to put my name as Nathaniel T. instead of WhatIsThatThing, which I'd rather use. Strange. Fixes welcome.

Hmm... I'm confused. How do I link to my awesome site "www.freewebs.com/blender715" without a "put down your website" thing like there used to be?
