This one comes courtesy of Famitsu's monthly Wave DVD, so there's more than just Sonic lurking in the video if you're patient and really like umbrellas. But if all you're interested in is a speedy blue hero and his quest for a few rings, then you're in luck -- he's got the opening number, and he's rocking out and racing hard.Head over there to watch it ... and don't forget that the game's been bumped, and is now only a few weeks away.

Sonic used to be such a stylish franchise. Ever since the Genesis days, it's been having an identity crisis. The visuals have been getting less stylized and more "realistic" and grey. Sega's been slapping the latest games with awful emo/furry plotlines. Sega's trying too hard to appeal to a more mature audience and in the process, losing all of the franchise's energy and fun. Thank God for Sonic Rush.
I had hope for this title, especially after seeing it compared to the PS3/Xbox360 monstrosity. The Arabian theme seemed appropriately colorful and exotic, but this newest trailer has me worried. It's not looking as crisp or fresh as before. The "grey plague" is creeping in.

Not seeing that grey plague
Still seeing glorious, colorful gameplay reminiscent of the Genesis era (with added Wii goodness)
This will be my first new game of 2007, february 20th, can't wait
