Are you an obsessive collector, stockpiling all the games you ever obtain, until your walls are lines with cases? Do you sell them or maybe trade with other gamers? Or do you put up with the jankery that is gaming store trade-for-credit deals, simply because it's easy? I look at what games are coming that I want and buy the best, I don't sell them for the reason that I really wanted them and they're really good for the above reason. I don't buy games very often because to me buying a game is a little more complicated than just going by a gmae and decide to buy it. My parents usually wants to know alot of stuff.

I used to sell games a lot but I only got a fraction of what I payed and felt like it was worth more just to keep them around. Better to get a few minutes of pick up and play time from an old game than pass it off for a couple bucks. Although, I'll probably get rid of my PS2 and games after I finish God Of War 2.

I ALWAYS save and keep all my games and systems. I did try the "trade for store credit" thing once and walked out feeling like a rape victim, so never again.

If it's a good game, I give it to my sister-in-law. If not, it gets sold or traded.

I tend to keep all f my games in my library, because sometimes it's fun to visit with an old friend. I am currently replaying Metroid Prime 2:Echoes in anticipation of MP3:Corruption.
Since I started playing in the 1970's, I have collected about:
350 Atari 2600
30 Atari 5200
50 Mattel Intellivision
15 ColecoVision
30 NES
20 GameBoy/GameBoy Color/GameBoy Advance
60 GameCube
20 DS
10 Wii games
The hardest part of having all of these is finding the right place to store them. Most of the Atari/Intellivision/ColecoVision games do not have their original boxes, and none of the NES games do.
Only recently did I purge some games that were less than stellar when I sold my 'Cube after getting my Wii. The console and 3 VERY awful games brought in about $90.

I sell almost all of my PC games when I am done with them. As for console games, I hold onto most of them for at least a year or two before selling.

Usually I keep what I buy, but sometiems I'll sell if I haven't played it in months and know I never will again. Occasionally I'm wrong, and re-purchase.
The worst offender, is Sonic the Hedgehog. To date, I've had the game (or a compilation it was in) for the Genesis, Saturn, Gamecube, PlayStation 2, and now the Wii. And, now that I have it on the Wii, I cannot physically sell the game unless I sell the console itself. Which is probably for the best.

My family buys a lot of games. We just enjoy playing them, and we're also pack rats. We keep everything, even the crappy games. We sold about 3 games, and own over 300.
We also keep all the consoles. Even though we have a Wii now, we will continue to have the Gamecube. Hell, it's still hooked up in my room.

I just recently threw out a bunch of Genises games and the system because I couldnt find a buyer and didnt want it to collect dust in the closet... Oddly enough now im buying back all those games for the Wii...and yet it feels like a new game?
In my defense I have a kick ass entertainment center and it cant be cluttered with a ton of systems and games. 1 Wii is all you need anyways! :)

I keep everything I buy, Except The Elder Scrolls III and Fable. Those two games later came out with a special edition (which I bought) and I gave them to a friend.
I have 38 different systems (no dupes) and over 800 games right now. And that is after I had a bunch of my stuff stolen.
Cheers!

I used to sell all my games once I got bored of them, but now I'm going to start selling them on eBay so I can get more money.
I've ended up regretting every non-backwards compatible system I've ever sold (I bought another Dreamcast, and I might buy an N64), so I won't do that again. Selling my 20-30 Xbox games to buy a 360 was a sad but necessary sacrifice, I just wish I'd sold them on eBay for more money.

I believe that people should keep the old games and systems ; primarily because of the nostalgic feel they have after you haven't played one in like 20 years. I felt that with the NES after not playing it for so long. Dusted that baby off and it was like taking a trip through time. Feeling enhances the effect if it is the original system not a VC game on the Wii. But hey this is all about the opinions of others so I'll pass the torch, but for the record I keep all my old games if possible. They too are like a trophy!
