For the uninformed, the power throw mini-game is a challenge set in Wii Sports: Bowling where the player must go through ten frames of action where the number of pins steadily increases from ten in the first frame, to a gigantic 91 pins in frame ten. This means that, given consecutive strikes, the top score possible is 890 pins. The embedded video, available past the post break, shows You Tube user DarkPlayer1988 getting to 804 pins, just a mere 86 pins away from mini-game perfection.
Have you achieved perfection in this mini-game? Take a picture or, even better, some video and let us know! We're always on the look-out for this kind of stuff.

Screw that "809", I only count true high scores without cheating. My high score is 744, I got 4 out of 5 strikes on the last 5. Wonderful joy when both the 76 and 91 went down. I honestly don't think its possible to get 890 without cheating. 10 perfect throws would require robot like precision. It's really difficult to set up in precisely the same spot each time as the game is so sensitive that you can't move over the same each time.

I've gotten the strike on the last frame both the normal way, and via the "cheat". I have to say the "cheat" is just as tricky.
I haven't broken 600 yet though. I'll keep working on it.

Eh, that is tricky. I have gotten the last frame by using the good old fashioned method. The highest I think I have gotten is 744 without cheating. I can't get that little trick method to work though. I think it is harder to do that than it is to actually throw a strike.

Wow. That is good.
My high score is around 550 right now.
I did manage to knock all the pins down on the 91-pin round once.
This training exercise is one of the best. The Spin Control bowling one is also great.

I just watched the video. It was cool until he cheated on the last one.
Is that really a glitch? The sound effect and the falling of the pins seem too perfect for it to not have been intentionally programmed in.

I didn't know you could do things like this in Wii Sports. I've done nothing but play multiplayer with friends. I really should explore all the options.

@#8 ... It's not really a glitch. You can see at the back of the lane, next to the pins, two big red reset buttons. When the bumpers are all the way out in the last frame, they line up with the buttons. If you angle your throw just right, you can send your ball rolling down the top of the bumper right into the reset button.
If you bowl lefty, try it on the left side. Right-handed on the right. It's not easy to do, but it's very amusing when you pull it off.
