
The above was made by Chris Williams, a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering, when he was fed up with the current set-up one must endure when using the Classic Controller on the Wii. The end product is something a little more manageable for those long Virtual Console sessions and causes us to wonder just why Nintendo didn't include such a thing with the Classic Controller.

I always assumed that what the connector on the CC was going to be used for. If you think about it, the wiimote+cc in that configuration makes a wireless yoke for flight sims.

It'd be nice if there was a connector that did THAT and also firmly placed plastic grips on the bottom of the controller so you can actually hold the damn thing comfortably. Someone make that next and I'll buy it off you for $15.

That's a great setup. Imagine the Classic Controller acting as a PS3's six-axis controller. Imagine having a Six-axis contoller with a pointer.
