We know this same topic came up just a few days ago involving retail games, but we figured we'd make it a little different and ask how many Virtual Console games you've purchased. And we've already heard what kind of VC games you want more of. So, cast a vote and let us know how big of a VC junkie you are. If you would like to comment exactly what games those are that you downloaded, please feel free.

No option for zero? That's how many I've bought. That'll probably change sometime, but not in the next week or two.

I have four.
1) Street Fighter II. I about pissed my pants when I saw this one. I HAD to have it. That game is THE reason I bought a SNES. I still remember all the moves.
2) Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. This was my wife's purchase, she loves puzzle games. She hardly plays it thought because it looks so dated. She's a sucker for nice graphics, even in puzzle games.
3) Super Mario World. One of, if not the best Mario game of all time. This one was an easy decision.
4) LoZ:LttP. This was also an easy decision. It's a great game that I never got a chance to play all the way through back in the day. I never actually owned it. I just played my cousin's copy when I was at his house growing up.

I also would be under the zero option, but only because I haven't yet been compelled to buy a Classic controller, and the wires on my GC controllers are too short to use them long-term. That, and all the VC releases so far are either something I own, or crap, with few exceptions. I plan to drop a few bucks on VC sometime soonish, but I'm not sure when...

Zero.
I'll buy some eventually, but I'm waiting until I have better controller options before I do. GC controller cables are too short, and I dislike the GC button layout for SNES games.

I finally ripped the shrink-wrap on my Ocarina of Time Gamecube disc (the one wiht Master Quest) and had my 7 year old son play it last weekend, then I heard about OOT being made available on the VC the next day. I want to complete my Zelda on the VC, but I'll probably hold of until all of them are out before I buy the rest. I did buy the LTTP even though I had the cartridge, so all this is BS. I guess I was thinking for 1000 points, I could get 2 (?!?) coffees!

You forgot 5.) None, because I can't get broadband on my street and the WiFi signal from the church next door is just barely too weak for me to download updates.

Bomberman '93: Classic Bomberman mayhem
Ice Climber: after their inclusion in Melee, i had to see what made their characters so memorable

I'm one of those lamers who hates money. I ended up buying:
* Bonk's Adventure
* Ristar
* Pinball
* Ice Climber
* Alien Crush
* Super Mario 64
* Super Castlevania IV
* Super Mario Bros.
* Street Fighter II
* Mario Kart 64
* Kirby's Adventure
* Super Mario World
The only reason I didn't buy F-Zero or any of the Zeldas is because I already own their original forms. I also own Super Mario World, but hey I had to make an exception because it's timelessly awesome.

Pfft, you all are weak sauce! I've got 12 so far, and have only stopped due to lack of Points...
SMB
Donkey Kong, Jr.
The Legend of Zelda
Kid Icarus
Gradius
Ice Hockey
SMB64
Mario Kart 64
Gunstar Heroes
Golden Axe
Superstar Soldier
Super Mario World
Nostalgia is a wonderful thing... And, yes, I have "other means" of playing these games. But, I would gladly pay money to play them on my TV instead of sitting in front of a monitor.

I have 7:
Zelda: LttP
Bomberman 93
Super Mario Bros
Kid Icarus
Super Mario World
Contra 3
Fu Man Chu
I won't be buying OoT, but I will definitely buy MM when it comes out. I'm mainly waiting for SNES favorites like Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island, Final Fantasy, etc.
Couple of things I've learned:
1) You have to have the Classic Controller to play SNES games. The control is perfect, compared to a severely limiting control with the GC controller.
2) Unless you absolutely love a game, read the retro reviews posted shortly after a game is released before you buy it. I got Bomberman, Kid Icarus, and Contra 3 after reading some good reviews of the games. It also helps that I hadn't ever played those three.
3) The VC can be a bargain or a rip-off. It just depends on how much you are going to play the games. I've played through SMW and most of the way through LttP, and I can say they were well worth the $8. Bomberman is a great multiplayer game, so it was worth $6 to me. On the other hand, Super Mario Bros probably isn't worth another $5. I just had to have it for the nostalgia of playing SMB on a Nintendo console with a flat, sideways controller ;)

It's okay as long as you thank God and all that good stuff. :D
I'll end up buying some eventually, but yeah.."other means" is too tempting. I did recently pick up a classic controller, so I might at least get Super Mario World or Super Metroid or something. Still hoping for some new, exclusive games in the Wii Ware section.

Zero. I play on a widescreen and have heard they stretch. I don't feel like switching modes to play some old game either. At the very least Nintendo should detect the resolution and black out the sides instead of stretching. Then I'll start buying.

I Hate Money? Even if you bought ten retro games on the N64 (and only three have been released), that's still only $100.00. That's TEN complete games. That's a dumb way to write a poll. Grow up, Joystiq.

only two but ill be buying loads of them eventually. also, i really dont get all the talk about them being expensive. atleast in sweden/norway where i live the good NES-games cost $10-25 or even more. if i were a student it would hurt more but nowdays its almost no money at all. and i dont have to have 5 consoles by the tv (and how many more later?).
VC is really really good.

Unfortunately I got the useless gift of Wii points cards for Christmas (instead of an ACTUAL game) so I made the most of it and purchased Bonk's Adventure and Mario 64, but ONLY because I didn't have to actually pay for it. Nintendo needs to start making original games on the VC.

I have nine. The only ones I'm smitten with are Super Mario World (which I had bought for GBA but hated it being so tiny. I also own the original SNES cartridge) and Zelda: OOT (which I've never owned nor played, but am loving). I also have Gunstar Heroes (fun), Legend of Zelda (hard as hell), Bomberman (classic party fun), Mario Kart 64 (disappointing. I remember it being better), and Streets of Rage (fun brawling).
I also got Toe Jam and Earl after 1up's recommendation and I don't understand why this game was a "Worth it!" Is it really just a dungeon crawler, but you just walk around and collect things? Am I missing something?

If they come out with Super Smash Bros., I'll have to go to my friend's house or something.

I am in agreement with quite a few people on this blog and would have to also ask where is zero? I mean come on do you expect every Wiiowner to go out and buy a game (It is not like this is xbox live arcade!). Personally I am waiting (and probably will be waiting a while) for Goldeneye and earthbound. Those two games are by far my favorite Nintendo games that would be available on the virtual console. As far as Sega or Turbografix goes I really couldn't care for any of their titles.
And another thing, when can we see new and inventive games on the virtual console? That is one of the best things about XBLA. Oh well, I will just hold my breathe now.

I got five, Zelda:OoT, Streets of rage, SMB, Super Mario world, and MArio Kart 64. I'm certainly getting my moneys worth. I make a point of playing them everyday, with my brother. After Twilight princess I just had to go back to OoT, I first played on an emulator but now I hate those things. I'd rather be legal. Using emulators is such an underhanded way to play games, well... so long as you have the original copy of the game it's O.K., otherwise and its just not right.
