Geoff Thomas, producer at Radical Entertainment, recently sat down with CVG to talk about the upcoming Wii version of his game Scarface: The World is Yours. In talking about Nintendo's latest console, he said the Wii "has a lot of horsepower under the hood and we're making full use of it." Sure, that's vague, but he does go into some detail about the graphical improvements over its previous iterations. In speaking about the differences between the Wii version's graphics when compared to the already-released versions, Geoff says they "overhauled our graphics engine to get the most out of the console by updating all of the shaders responsible for rendering the environment, vehicle, and characters. In many ways Scarface looks sharper on the Wii than it does on the PS2 and Xbox." This should come as good news to those Wii owners out there who have been complaining that the graphics aren't up to snuff.

I'll believe it when i see it, still very suspicious of ports, at least until they start porting DOWN from the 360/PS3

Scarface for the xbox was pretty good. Althought the characters did have boxing glove hands. But overall the visuals were satisfying. I hope that the guys at Radical really do push the graphics to take advantage of the Wii hardware... and hopefully change the police heat system to be more in line with how GTA handles cops. Extended police chases are what keeps me interested in San Andreas. That has been out for years and i'm still playing it.

I can't wait until this game goes sells well and shows that Nintendo has lost the stupid kiddie image of the GC. Maybe this, Manhunt 2 and Resident Evil games can help this to become true. I haven't played the PS2/XBOX/PC version, but from what I hear it is quite good. By the way, I just started playing San Andreas and I got is for 1.99 at that Best Buy sale. How long did the game take you to beat it automag5.

I got so sidetracked by causing mayhem I think I finally finished it up after 6 or 7 months. To be honest, I liked Vice City much more for the 80's atmosphere (which was definately influenced by Scarface). But San Andreas is so big there's plenty of space to explore. But back to Scarface: It is still a good game on the x-box, but I think with a little tweaking it could be a great game.
