Tipster HexiJosh was spot on about the last TRU Wii hoard, so we have no reason to disbelieve him now when he tells us that Sunday, March 18 is the day to queue up. Still, we're marking this as a rumor just to be safe.He says that Toys R Us stores are getting even larger shipments this time than last time-- his store is getting a minimum of 12 systems-- and that TRU is planning to sell them bundled with Sonic and the Secret Rings. We hope these bundles don't cost full price-- bundling is only fun when there's a discount involved, and even then it's kind of annoying.
But complaining about bundles misses the point, which is HEY THERE ARE PROBABLY GOING TO BE SOME WIIS FOR SALE. Plan your next weekend accordingly!

I can confirm this rumor from a TRU employee (in Bellevue, WA) who was telling people last night that he was expecting Wiis on the coming weekend.

I bought my wii last sunday on Toys R Us on Florida Mall, I went there like at 10:30 am and they still had like 10 wiis, bundled with Ice Age 2, the game kinda sucks but the "bundeled" prize for the game was 20 u$s so it wasn't a bad spending...
I hope everyone who couldn't can get one, it rocks!

I checked at the Toys R Us in Falls Church, VA today and they confirmed the 18th also. I thought they weren't allowed to only sell bundles, although, it doesn't look like Sonic is a bad game. I'd rather spend my money on a game I want though.

On Joystiq - there' an ad for itrackr.com... you can find wii's in your area, it lists which stores have them, and where to find them. No reason to wait for the raping stock piling that seems to be an unnecessary trend.

I posted the actual ad on www.digitalsomething.com , and they are actually having a bundle of the Wii and the DS Lite.
The good thing about it is when you buy one of the two bundles, you get a $30 gift card.
Anyway, you can officially un-mark this as a rumor.
