That's right, the popular number puzzles are making their way to living rooms across the world, because there can apparently never be enough sudoku. This is an easy choice for the DS -- that's why there's so much of it -- but we're uncertain about the potential fun of Wii-based sudoku. Maybe as part of something else, but as its own game ... we'll see. Not sure how it'll be played out? Never fear, developer Hudson Soft prepared a movie that should serve to answer all those questions.

WTF!?!?!?!?!?!? I don't care what people say I'm a harsh commenter as some of you may know me from previous blogs. But this time I have a reason to be angry with nintendo. I know what your all thinking "If you don't like it don't buy it" if you really wanna play sudoku they would buy a huge booklet for $5 at a dollar store!!!! Nintendo and Hudson are wasting their time instead of making games worth playing. I know what else some of you might say "Its to help drag in the elderly" BULL**** you know as well as I do that thats never ever going to work considering the fact they can just buy a huge booklet for $5!! Some of you might say "They could add fun content and mini-games" The hell they will...what much can you really do with Sudoku!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that this is downloadable "original content." It's not really gonna sell very well otherwise.

I agree with dukemeiser, this would make a great new channel. Forget voting, lets have some games.

Imagine a channel that's set up exactly like Everybody Votes, but instead of simply voting on something, you answer some trivia questions or solve a sudoku puzzle a couple times per week and your Mii gets rated on some online leaderboard-type stuff. Once the Wii goes all the way online, we have no idea what kind of crazy stuff they'll do.

Yeah I'm puzzled too. Is this a $40 retail game, or something for the VC or a channel?
I mean, if Sudoku is good enough for Mrs. Slowsky, it's good enough for me, but I'm not paying $40 when I've got a free Sudoku widget on my google homepage...

@ Laz: I recommend the 360.
What the heck? I want them to come out with some REAL video games.
Maybe they can come out with Wii Chess so that when I win I can report an incursion from the hostiles and enter 7-7 so I can explode.
Seriously, I think Nintendo is spending too much time on the "Everybody" portion of the Wii (aka elderly people/non gamers).
I won't get the rage like Herr Boot, but I kind of agree with him. Why not just go to someplace like www.websudoku.com and play it for free? Or any other place for free? Or get that huge book or an electronic handheld?
