Wow, we've got a lot of games coming to us this week, which should excite those of you who have felt the pain of a lack of variety on the Wii's section of the retail shelf. And the pain ends now, good readers, as you'll have six (count 'em, six) different titles to choose from. Which titles will they be? Well, let's go ahead and list them:
- Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
- Cooking Mama: Cook Off
- The Godfather: Blackhand Edition
- Kororinpa: Marble Mania
- Wing Island
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

OH MY GOD...am I 1st?
I was going to pick up Cooking Mama and (after the good reviews) Godfather: Blackhand.
I will likely rent Kororinpa to see we like it...but I am still playing through all the games I got for the holidays (that darn LoZ:TP is eating up ALL of my playtime).

I'll be taking a good look at probably purchasing Godfather. I'd bite at TMNT if it was multi-player (after getting my wife sucked into playing Marvel Alliance). WTF isn't it?
Other than that, Cooking Mama looks fun in that typical Nintendo quirkiness kind of way...

My 15 year old sister is buying Cooking Mama. I'll be grabbing a VC game or two (when are they going to be announced for today?), but I'm holding off on a big purchase until April 9 - Super Paper Mario FTW!

This is a kick ass list!!! Although I just spent my money on Resident Evil 4 (yes I know it took me awhile to get a copy but I didn't have a gamecube and I just got a Wii). I'm gonna get Scareface if it has a free roaming city. I doubt I will pick up Cooking Mama cause it just sounds like another mini-game collection. I might pick up TMNT if it has some good reviews.

I kinda want Kororinpa, but I think I'll rent it and save my money for Super Paper Mario.

Kororinpa is great and I highly recommend it. It is quite easy to whizz through the levels at first but once it gets harder it's a whole lots of fun and very frustrating in a good way. It might be something that you could rent and complete in a weekend rather than buy though. The best thing about it is the marble itself and the way it moves and responds.
I too might pick up Godfather after reading a review of it.

I'm not a big buyer, so I'll probably rent some of them. I'm interested in Cooking Mama (think my wife would like it), Godfather (good reviews), Blazing Angels, and Kororinpa (another wife game).
I'm buying Super Paper Mario... so no money for these yet... but I'll definately rent at least a few of them.

I'm with #12 on renting some of these games. I usually only buy 1 or 2 games per year.
Does it hurt the game industry when people rent games instead of buying them?

Been waiting for Godfather: Blackhand Edition...soon my wait will be over. I'm guessing that I will be getting very little sleep for the next while (as I can only really play games after my wife and daughter are asleep). Anyone know if it'll live up to my hopes, or will it just be another bad GTA clone with motion controls tacked on? I'll be buying it regardless, but I'd rather go into the purchase with my eyes wide open...

@ 13 - The industry hates renting because instead of giving them money for the game, your are giving someone else money (such as Gamefly). Even if Gamefly gives the game studio royalty for every rental, it is small compared to what they would make if you actually bought the game.
For this same reason they hate eBay (and Gamestop). When you buy a used game, the game studio doesn't make any money because you are giving your money to someone else.

all these games are not worth the money. I was looking forward to cooking mama and i even hyped it up to the coworkers at my work... and the reviews are a huge disappointment... ill hold out for paper mario. i hope that it holds up to the hype!
