When we last previewed Xtreme Enterprise's replacement shells for the Nintendo Wii, we only caught a glimpse of the prototype faceplate and side panels, leaving us to wonder how the completed product would turn out. The Singapore-based company finally released photos of the assembled casing earlier today, daring us to find a flaw with the SHOCKii's design. We think you'll agree after seeing them that there isn't one to be found. The shells are constructed with composite polycarbonate and ABS plastic, fitting together exactly like the Wii's original frame. Xtreme Enterprise has had a lot of time to perfect its process, using the same material for its Nintendo DS and nunchuck replacement casing. You can pre-order the full replacement shells in five different colors: Cool Black, Dreamy Blue, Strat Clear (semi-transparent), Dynamic Red, and Astro Yellow. All of the cases are priced at $69.90.
Head past the post break for photos of the SHOCKii's Cool Black shell.

I would buy it...if it were cheaper, like $10. $20 max. But $69.60? That's pretty expensive, even for composite polycarbonate or whatever. I assume this is USD we're talking about, and not Singaporean dollars.

This look good. Wonder if someone will make one with a set spot for mod chips.

I'd second WhatIsThatThing on this one. I'd go for a black one once there are black Wiimotes and Nunchuks available from Nintendo but 70$ is a hefty price for a bunch of plastic covers. I could buy seven Zelda VC games for that ... and I'd surely be looking at the console itself a lot less then ;)

The only thing keeping me from going all out and making my entire wii black... is they need new covers for the classic controller

I ordered a product from the company on 5/7/07. They informed me imediatly afterwards that it would be shipped that weekend and would arrive in 10-15 days. On 5/24/07 i sent them an email asking if I could expect the order to be arriving any time soon. On 5/27/07 they sent me an email stating it would be shipped that weekend. On June 11 i sent them an email asking what the deal was...no response. I am begining to believe that i have been ripped off. my advice to anyone considering ordering a product from Extreme Enterprise is DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!
If anyone else has experienced this problem feel free to email me. I dont want any of my fellow Gamers to get ripped off be care-full!!!
