For those of you who have yet to find a Wii, we have potentially good news! Or a totally mean waste of your time. We don't really know.Tipster Memnoch tells us he saw a handwritten sign in a Wal-Mart electronics department in Fairfax, VA telling employees to hold Wii shipments for April 1st, when a new advertising circular would announce their availability.
Our readers have yet to lead us astray with these shipment tips, but we aren't 100% sure about it. It's not that we don't trust Memnoch-- it would just be foolish to take a rumor involving April 1st at face value. Hence the more skeptical, pensive Matthew Lesko. Good luck if you check this out!

OMG, I live there lol, cool
Doesn't matter to me that much though, seeing as I already have a Wii but I think a couple of my friends might find this info helpful.

Well, for any Canadian readers, I work at a Wal-Mart electronics department, and they *are* being held, but it's more random that simply for one date.

There is one in our upcoming circular although I can't confirm the date without looking at one. But yes, they will be held back till then.

I don't think this is nation wide. My wife just bought us a Wii at wal-mart this afternoon. Sure I live in a rural area and there were 5 there, but I think it's safe to say this is certainly not a nation-wide thing. I live in rural IL by the way.

Pathetic attempt at an april fools joke.
It sucks that there is such a crappy start to a new month after the great month of March.
The next few days are going to be unbearable.

This is no joke. I dont know about this being a nationwide thing or not. My mom found an ad in a small local news paper (in North Carolina) that states that every Wal-Mart store is expected to have AT LEAST 7 Nintendo Wii's on Sun April first. I called the store closest to me and confirmed and she confirmed at the store closest to her which is two hours away and confirmed. The associates suggested finding a super center open 24 hrs and get there early enough to stand in line. P.S. the Wii bundle is availible online this morning - I just ordered mine.
