While one could just go ahead and mod their Wiimote into a gun, Joytech is set to offer gamers a less permanent solution for their needs. Dubbed the Sharp Shooter, this little thingamabob allows one to take their Wiimote and nunchuk, confine them into this gun-like apparatus and then go ahead and play shooters or FPS titles in that way. No word on when it's going to release as of right now.We think reader BPMΩ said it best when he questioned how confining the nunchuk and Wiimote together into this thing would affect the accelerometer in both once they're essentially bundled together. It's a good point, one that is strong enough to probably break the sale for us. Then again, they could send us one to review ....
[Thanks, BPMΩ!]

That actually looks pretty cool. I'll probablly pick it up when resident evil 4 comes out.

WOW! Think of it! You use this as a shotgun, and then you melee with the handle. The accelerometer in the nunchuck could be very useful in-game for FPSs or arcade shooters. Add a treadmill and you have an in-depth gaming experience.

This looks great with one small problem, devs will have to include a special control scheme to support it. Right now games fire with the trigger on the remote not the chuck I want this to work they just need to have it adopted.

Red Steel is out of the question for sure...then again it was out of the question the second I bought it [insert rimshot].
Realistically though Hunter's right, there would have to be an evolution in controls to make this acceptable to use. You wouldn't want to use anything other than Z and C. I could possibly see holding your hand on the end of the the barrol as if you had a shotgun and being able to use A B and d-pad, but even that seems kinda awkward.

Configuration like this might be usable in simple rail shooters where you only have to move the pointer and not your character. Not fun.
