The Wii is a very social console. From the marketing campaign to the pack-in, everything about it is designed to get a bunch of people together and interacting in the same room. It can even be fun to have a group together for single-player games, with everyone helping out and enjoying the events of the game together. But video games are not always social events. Sometimes you just want to get immersed in the game without all the interruptions and talking and people. Are you the kind of gamer who prefers to be alone with your games? Or do you always prefer to share your experiences?
Or are there certain games that you just can't stand having people in the room while you're playing? Killer 7 on the Gamecube, for example, was something we preferred to play alone because we didn't think others walking in would have a clue what was going on. Especially since we didn't.

I'm pretty social in a sense.
I have a "Game Night" at my house every friday night. About 10-20 people come over, and we do nothing but play REAL games (not that Halo crap, or Madden). We play Contra for the NES first, and do speed runs (current best: 17mins to beat the entire game). Then we either play some Wii Sports, or play Mario Kart/Party/Golf. We've also been known to play some Cooking Mama duels.
But, on the other hand. I play my 360 when I'm alone. I don't even like getting online, because the people online annoy the hell out of me. The only time I play online is if my friend and I want to mess around in Crackdown.

Very antisocial here
I rarely have friends over, usually because i'm too lazy to deviate from my daily routine, but we have busted out Wii Sports and Red Steel and Melee in the past
There's a reason why i returned Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, i'm a very single-player centric person (I enjoy online gaming as much as the next guy, but my priority is still single player titles), which ties in with my favorite genres of games, Platformers, Action, and Adventure/RPG titles

I'm a social gamer; I enjoy local competitions and game groups/parties, but I absolutely can't stand playing with the online community, because they have no sense of etiquette.
I very much prefer single-player games when I'm alone.

I pretty much never play my Wii alone, unless it is to beat a game or if I just feel like hitting something!
Nah, the Wii is a totally social console, and its just no fun on your own.. way better with friends. (Preferably friends who are about at your skill level, ie.. no n00bs.)

I used to be an anti-social gamer, mainly because I always felt that if I didn't complete a part of a game by myself, that I technically didn't really beat it. This began back in Pokémon Blue when I went to summer camp and my brother caught Mewtwo and saved while I was gone (why I didn't take it with me, I do not know). Most of my friends are usually better than me at a lot of games, so I get a little discouraged by that as well. With so many new multiplayer focus on newer consoles and games, however, my attitude has definitely changed. Wii Sports, Guitar Hero, and tons of other games are too much fun to not play with friends. Not to mention the fact that Contra III is impossible to beat by myself. I bought 4 Wiimotes and 2 guitars for Guitar Hero just because I love playing with my friends so much. I just hope this trend of social gaming continues to grow and is easily available to everyone.

Heh, in the recent Wii title dry spell that Reggie promised us wouldn't exist, I have been playing none other than… Killer7! Yes, when playing a game like that, I'd just as soon be the only one in the room. That's not to slag off multiplayer fun though as I do enjoy showing up at LANs without a PC looking for console action.

I'm not really anti-social. More like social-phobic. I tend to play most games by myself. Although I really do enjoy going to gaming parties when I get the chance.
