Have you been plagued by the Zelda: Twilight Princess sky cannon bug? We've got good news and bad news for you. The bad news is obvious: you were plagued by the sky cannon bug. The good news is that Nintendo will replace your disc, allowing you to pick right back up where the bug torpedoed your game. If you're suffering from this bug, just send your game disc to Nintendo, along with a note containing your name, address, phone number, and the circumstances of the error, and Nintendo will ship you a replacement.

How do we know if we have that bug if we haven't gotten to that part of the game yet? is there a way by looking at serial codes or something?

Tha nature of the bug is a tricky one. It only happens if you save and quit in the middle of a story event so it is possible with all older Zelda discs. The new ones probably just have a small patch applied to keep that one glitch from happening, and all newer discs likely have it as well. My advice to avoid this bug in a non-spolier fashion: If you ever find yourself in a situation where you have a task to perform, but have to wait for someone to leave to perform it do not stop half way through. Just finish the task (there are very few that involve cannons) and then save afterwards and you should be safe.

See, thats just Nintendo being lazy, not good.
They should just send out a patch via WiiConnect24, but since they never built the infrastructure, Wii isn't capable of doing something like that...
Sucks to be me, livin' in Mexico....

And it's not lazy to ship a game that needs a patch the very first day?

Just make a habit of alternating among the three save slots. Problem (almost) solved.

I hope they do the same thing for the bridge bug (saving & quitting on the other side causes you to be the WRONG side when you reload) as it's completely hamstrung my game. Admittedly, not as drastic as 50 hours play time, but still...
