Some slightly disparaging remarks were made recently on this blog about Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake. While a certain contingent of our staff may doubt the fighting ability of the son of Big Boss, but we know the truth. Snake is hardcore. He may ask a lot of questions ("Metal Gear?" "A Hind-D?") and he may have a habit of hiding in boxes, but he definitely has the combat prowess required for Smash Bros., made evident by the fact that he smashed his own brother.
This post is a big "!" for Snake fans. We can hear your thoughts. Come out of hiding and tell us how awesome Solid Snake is!

i've played all the mgs series (besides mgs3-subsistence and metal gear ac!d 2 (nothing to do with the story)
and its gotta have the best story line in any game ever made
and snake kicks ass aswell

Never having owned a Playstation, I had never played a Metal Gear Solid game. When I found out that Snake was going to be in Brawl, I figured it was time, so I went out and bought The Twin Snakes for Gamecube. I love it so far. Now I always have the urge to talk in a gravelly voice while hiding in cardboard boxes, repeating everything that is said to me as a question. I can't wait to see how Snake fits in to Smash Bros.

There's one thing I'd like to see right now: A remake of the 3 2d Metal Gear games on the DS. Since I can see the funny looks from here, the 3 are Metal Gear, MG2: Solid Snake, and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, the GBC Metal Gear game released in the US renamed as Metal Gear Solid.

Well, the 2D versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 were ported from MSX to Japanese cellphones, then ported to PS2 for MGS3 Subsistence. Do you want ports of those (plus the GBC one, and hey, why not Snake's Revenge while we're at it?) or do you want them remade in rough DS-style 3D?
If we're remaking old Metal Gears, let's bring out the big guns. I want a full console release using the gorgeous MGS3 engine.
