Fast food chain Wendy's plans to pack its Kids' Meals with Wii-related toys soon. The new knickknacks don't look like they're anything to fawn over, but that miniaturized and muddied Excite Truck might make a nice addition to your collection of Micro Machines and Hot Wheels racers.
Truthfully, we've never been partial to the restaurant's square-shaped burger patties or its bland french fries. Wendy's chicken nuggets, however, are like the real-world equivalent to Narnia's turkish delight. Families have been betrayed and wars have been set into motion over these bits of meat. The fact that we can get a pocket-sized Wii remote with these nuggets pretty much settles our schedule for where we're eating lunch at when this promotion goes into effect.

Wendy's is the only chain not run by a serial killer mascot or a coked-up clown.

The Wendy's in my town recently had a Band-aid in a burger. I think there were roaches there before too. I dont think that even these toys can get me to eat there.

anybody looking forward to getting a hold of a Wii remote flash drive? I hope somebody will put one out that doesn't suck and maybe utilizes some button functionality. Any thoughts?

I've never had Turkish delight until a coworker brought some from Turkey. It's good but I'm not going to further efforts to get more.

I'm too lazy to look it up but I think it was Wendy's that had that whole finger in the chili thing, too.
I'll go in though and see if they'll sell me just the toys, heh heh.

It was wendy's with the finger but it was a scam, some sick woman had a finger she put in the chili herself to get money. I always liked Wendy's, you guys must live in some skanky towns ;).

Every other Wendy's I go to is VERY poorly managed.
Food's good, though. Can't say that about fast food often.

I love Wendy's! Why must you always put down the things I like, Wiifanboy!? Why can't we ever do things I want to do!?
Anyway, there are some bad Wendy's, but that's true of any fastfood place. It's all about the location. If it's in a bad part of town then it will be a bad Wendy's. And like said above, the finger thing was a fraud. I hate when stories like that come up because then people only listen to half the story, and then the second half doesn't be publicized enough so everyone is left with a bad taste in their mouth.
At any rate, when is this going to happen? I need to go get me some toys!

I never believed the finger in the chili story. It was hard to believe that someone wouldn't notice they were missing a finger. So that's not why I don't like my town's Wendy's. I don't look at the Wendy's chain as a disgusting line of restaurants, I just think ours is disgusting. I do enjoy some of Wendy's food, but the only one near me is the filthy one.

Yeah, I've never been crazy about the burgers over at Wendy's...
But I will say that they have one of the best doller menu's around.
There's so much variety! Anything from nuggets, to baked potato, salad, chili, etc.
I agree with Shadow, if you're going to a fast food restaurant that is located in a bad part of town, then you can't expect something expectacular.
Wendy's is pretty popular in NYC, and I remember going to some nice ones.
Now I'm in Hollywood, and well, there aren't that many...
I'll definitely stop by though when they get the Wii toys.
I'd love to have a pocket-size Wiimote!!

Get a spicy chicken combo with a frosty. You'll thank me later. And dip your fries in the honey mustard. They rock that way.

@7: We have it as a mainstream confectionary in England, you can find Turkish Delight in most news agents... Infact, I don't think I've been in a news agents which hasn't stocked it. Not as nice as the special stuff you get from specialist shops, but it's not terrible either.
