IGN recently published a story where they look at the possibilities of how the franchise could be once it comes to the Wii. Their views are interesting, but we can't seem to take our eyes off of the above mock-up of how the guitar controller could look. We want it bad. The SG model, along with fretboard docking station for the Wiimote, make this the coolest Guitar Hero controller mock-up we've ever seen.
[Thanks, Nelson!]

Jay, you can play left-handed. There's an option in the game to flip the button layout on-screen. The only problem is the whammy bar, but it is still usable.

huh. now that is interesting. could probably work just like that too wirelessly. since the wiimote already has all the motion sensing and such you would need, it could be like a large nunchuk attachment. cant imagine it taking that much battery power from the wiimote. but then again, im not a peripheral designer either. just seems possible from my point of view.

Hey, if Jimmie Hendrix did it, so can you!

Actually, my question is why did they not stick it up higher in the neck of the guitar so that you could use the pointer capabilities on top of that? Seriously, if I had any experience in 3D modeling, I'd totally pwn these mock up for the wiimote peripheral deals.

Weight of the Wii mote should be more towards the back so it feels more accurate. Like you plugin it in to the back of the guitar.
