In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Nintendo confirmed that they do in fact plan to release Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl by the end of this year, as well as pretty much every Nintendo game announced for the Wii. This corroborates an IGN report to the same effect, and is also totally, totally rad. Here's the full list of Nintendo's planned 2007 releases. Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race is slated for June 28, and the rest are all "2007":
- Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race
- Wii Health Pack
- Disaster: Day of Crisis
- Mario Party 8
- Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
- Wii Music
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Battalion Wars II
- Forever Blue
- Mario Strikers Charged
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
- Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games
Update: fixed some italics and formatting.

I love it how hammer and disaster were LAUNCH games, and widely publicized so, and then seemed to be vapourware. Now here we are, half a year later, and we have one screen for disaster, and a promise that it's coming, lol.

Were they actually stated as launch games or just announced in development in the E3 video? I honestly can't remember. MP Corruption was supposed to be a launch game. In fact, I think it was the first game I saw announced for Wii. I'm happy that they'll all make it in 2007. I just hope that doesn't make 2008 a bust. Although Animal Crossing and Kirby are also mentioned in the announcement as dates TBA.

Remember that Disaster is being developed by second-party Monolith Soft. Retro started up and given the Metroid license and look at them now. They're a big American first-party studio to Nintendo. I can't imagine how to afford all these games but I look forward to eventually collecting and playing all of these.

What ever happened to Project H.A.M.M.E.R.? You'd hear about it before the Wii came out and now you hear nothing about it.

@ 6
It's coming. It was mentioned in this release, but the date is TBA. Count on mid 2008 since so little (i.e nothing) has been said about it so far.

I luvs Nintendo but I know this will all be Japan Q4 2007, North America Q1 2008, and Europe Q3 2008... the only hope is that they want to pummel us all with these titles before Christmas.

javelin, you might be right for a lot of this list, but expect the big 3 (MP, SSBB, and Galaxy) to arrive in all regions at around the same time. Metroid is developed in NA so there is no need for localization, plus the MP games have always released in NA first. If Brawl is anything like Melee it will be released simultaneously as well. Remember Melee had all the language options on the same disc. Also Brawl and Galaxy would cause major problems if they weren't released in NA around the same time.
The biggest reason to make sure all 3 are out in NA is that they are system sellers (Galaxy especially). Expect that at least one will be available for Black Friday and the start of the Christmas rush.

Brawl, Prime, Mario Galaxy, and Wii Music are all going to be must-haves for me. With interesting titles like Disaster, HAMMER, and Forever Blue, as well as any third-party offerings, I need to start putting some cash aside!

Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if Nintendo would release the games in the same strategic fashion as the release of the Wii. During the last two quarters of this year, both of the Wii's competitors will be releasing fairly respectible titles, it would make sense perhaps to make a further push for the Wii, by disrupting the hype for the release of the games, by intentionally releasing their major games around the same time. It worked to break the momentum that the PS3 had, granted it didn't need Nintendo's help for that to happen, but nevertheless it was a factor. Taking that into consideration, that would make sense for them to do that.

I agree, although i still bet that Metroid Prime 3 will either come in August or September (right around Halo 3, which will vastly lower its sales just like with MP2...
I would put Galaxy in October in November
And Brawl with a simultaneous launch in December
I can't wait for the megatons (lol)

Man, I just hope the big 3s make it before March '08. That would be enough for me.
Now, if we don't have a date by July [E3], that title without date will surely be by 2008.

I was never really worried IF these would drop in '07, it's WHEN. I'll still be a little miffed (thought I'm sure it will be worth the wait) if I can't get my PROJECT: Prime Brawl Crisis on until after christmas
