Codename Revolution is reporting that one of their distributor contacts has confirmed a compilation title consisting of Lego Star Wars I and Lego Star Wars II will be headed to the Wii this holiday season. Nothing more than a port of both titles on the GameCube, the game will now feature Wiimote controls, bringing us all one step closer to actually wielding a lightsaber. Of course, we'd like to point out that the Wii doesn't need any more GameCube ports, but we feel kind of like a Storm Trooper in Mos Eisley. Kind of like these aren't the grievances we're looking for. Plus, lightsabers, man ... lightsabers.
Are you looking forward to wielding the Force on your Wii?

Eh, the game is only slightly fun on the 360, I don't see any tacked-on Wiimote controls adding to the experience. So, no, I'm not looking forward to this.

I play both Lego Star Wars games for the Cube on the Wii right now. So this might not be the best move for this franchise, but the first game to use your lightsaber would be very cool. Would have to see what extra features it would include to see if it is worth the 50 bucks.

Ugh, all these ports are going to force me to purchase a new console. I'm excited for this december, but freakin' A.

I'd rather have a non-lego version, but if the controls aren't too shabby a lightsaber's a lightsaber I guess.

I just bought both Gamecube games, a Gamecube memory card and 2 Gamecube controllers and then of course both Lego SW games. I did all of this just to play them both. I heard they stopped production....now we know why.
I agree with Justin 100%. It better have some awesomeness or at least for the $50+ I just spent I can play other Gamecube games too.

I actually don't mind this too much - I didn't get a chance to finish playing them before selling my PS2 so I was thinking about grabbing Cube copies anyways. Now I can just wait and get this version instead.

Wii Sports is going to hinder Nintendo's chance to sell sports games like Mario Tennis in the future. I love my Wii but Nintendo's sports game sales are going to be hurting.
Lego Star Wars is fun but too childish for me. I want some more M games for my Wii.

I played both and actually enjoyed them a ton, even though they were simplistic and designed for kids. There is just a ton of stuff to bust up, a lot of collectables, and I like legos, and Star wars so I'm definately going to buy this. If this is the only lightsaber game out there, then I'm buying it.

I wouldn't mind these ports so much if they came out at budget price. 30 dollars for the two would sell me, but 50... ehhh.

Since I never got Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, this is a good deal for me. I just hope there will be a waggle-less control scheme.

I hope the games aren't separate on the disc. I want them to be morphed into one, so as you run around Mos Eisley you have all 6 episodes to choose from.

I played Original Trilogy on PS2 while wasting time in Wal Mart, and then walked over to find the GameCube copy... they didn't have it, so I was going to look at other stores.
I think I can wait another six months for both to come to Wii- I just hope it's a good deal, like both games for $40 or something.

I was about to go out and get a wireless gamecube conbtroller, memory card and LSWII. I guess I can wait now and use that money for something newer.

I agree with Disco; I never picked up the GC versions and it should be fun to play if I don't have to waggle. That said, there should be a lower price point, because god knows I hate the port parade that's been going on. Give me something new already....

But can you use your GC memory card to load characters you unlocked in the first game to dump them into the second game on the Wii version?? 'Cause i spent forever getting General Grevious so I could run through episode 4 "new hope" with him.
I also agree that i would love playing with the seperated controller (easy on the shoulders) butn just pressing buttons is fine. Unless the swinging is as sensitive as in Zelda.
It would be cool if, for laser blasting it jumped into first person to shoot aiming the remote. But it says it's straight ports so, i won't hold my breath.
