While these pictures are from scans and thus aren't the best quality, they come with a bonus bit of information: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core players will have a choice of two control schemes: Wiimote with full motion controls, or a more traditional control scheme. Just what we wanted! This latest Guilty Gear is due out in Japan near the end of July.

Glad to see some developers aren't locking people into one control scheme.

I cannot imagine playing Guilty Gear on the Wii... with either control scheme. Guess I'll wait and see. Somehow I don't think this game won't sell very well.

I wish that they had went for realism rather than cel-shading

If you can play guilty gear on ps2 or xbox you can surelt play it on the classic controller, seeing as how the button layout for all three spawn from the SNES anyway. and you don't need all the shoulder buttons unless you feel as though you HAVE to taunt, so can't make that argument either. (and the classic controller has 4 shoulder buttons too, incase you didn't know that s-fanboy)
and not trying to come off as even more of a jerk but

its advanced sprites not cel-shading (think street fighter and not naruto) second IMO this game would lose alot if it went 3D kinda like SF3 compared to the EXs

@5: Is it Cell shading? I would have figured it was all hand-drawn animation like the previous versions of the game! God, I hope it's not 3D...

Oh man, I'm excited now.
I'm hoping they'll be using the classic controller, since the last time I played any GG to a large extent was with GGX back on Dreamcast, and the classic is just like the DC controller. Just a lot smaller.
This is pretty exciting, considering that Guilty Gear is one of the most technical fighting games out there, second only to SSBM right now. If I didn't play Smash competitively, I'd be flipping out about this until it hit American shelves.
Also, @8: If your SNES games looked like GG, then you had a SNES with some sort of then-futuristic super-hi-res graphics...
