Personally, we'd like the game to receive a sequel and it would make sense for Nintendo to do so. Maybe add some Wi-Fi functionality to it?

another Excite truck... HELL YES. the first one rules and well a second one would only rule more. It'd be sweet if the rumor comes true.... but with everything else in life, time is of the essence.

An Excite Truck 2 better have an online multiplayer version of the free-roam truck-smash challenge.
Imagine burning around an open environment with say 20 other trucks online and trying to smash into each other for points? That would ROCK.

You're seriously missing out. Excite truck is easily my most played wii game. While more modes and whatnot would've been nice, the core gameplay is fantastic. I consider it practically a must-own for the system, though I'm sure not everyone loves the game as much as I do.

"harcore dungeon crawling"
i'd like to reiterate that...
I owned shinning when it came out... i enjoyed it... however, get used to having to crawl all the way through previously traversed (as in got lost in) sections of the dungeon to get back to the last point you left...
unless i am having poor recollection, you would get deeper and deeper into the dungeon, then have to warp out to go back to town, but there was no warp back function, so you had to plow through the same dungeon bits over, and over, and over...
not to knock the game, again, i rembemer enjoying many dark and costco soda fuelef nights with this one, but it definatly requires dedication.
