It's not quite hard numbers showing combined Wii/360 ownership, and it's not quite ZOMG WII60 CONFIRMED TOTAL, but we'll take anything that suggests that the Wii may be awesome. According to a survey conducted by Magid Media from March 20th to the 27th, Xbox 360 owners are somewhat more likely to be interested in buying a Wii because of their 360 ownership.
66% of surveyed 360 owners indicated that they were "neutral or more likely to buy a Wii because they now own an Xbox 360." Compare that to the 52% who were "neutral or more likely to buy a PlayStation 3." 19% of 360 owners were "somewhat or much more likely" to buy a Wii.
Wii owners, strangely, were slightly more positive about Sony's system than Microsoft's: 53% were "neutral or more likely to buy a PlayStation 3 because they now own a Wii", versus 44% of Wii owners who felt the same way about the 360.
We think we may have spotted a subtle troll in Gamasutra's writeup: "Results for PlayStation 3 owners buying other consoles were not disclosed in the survey results, presumably because the sample size was below Magid's acceptable levels." Either that's a joke at the PS3's expense, or reality is a joke at the PS3's expense.
'Wii60 effect' real?

My wife recently purhcased a Wii for my birthday to go alongside my 360. And I have to admit we love playing my Wii360! Both systems have compelling gaming experiences. I prefer to play the cross platform games on the 360 (of course), and we focus on Wiimote specific games on the Wii such as Cooking Mama, Wii Sports, Wii Play, etc. But that's not to say the 360 doesn't have great alternative gaming experiences, as my Xplorer from Guitar Hero II gets plenty of play time.
Bottom line: Wii360 experience is real, and its GREAT!

Personally I am a wii60 individual. The gaming experience you get for the price is awesome. Halo 3 beta is awesome by the way!

I will eventually be forced to join in this category. I think that when Blue Dragon comes out that I will have no choice but to buy a 360.

I have both a Wii and a 360. I love my traditional games but if you're a gamer it's almost stupid NOT to buy a Wii considering the price and level of fun. Who cares if it's barely more powerful than a GameCube...that's what the 360 is for.

The playstation 3 has more Japanese games which equals more RPGs.. Thats my forte so thats what I'm more likely to get. If Squaresoft suddenly jumped ship to Microsoft I'd go with them.

I'll buy a 360 when they have games that aren't shooters or sports games.

I do believe they are called SquareEnix or just Square Co. if you will. Where have you been in last 4 years?
Anyways, I have a 360 and am hoping to get a Wii next month. Nintendo has never let me down when it comes to simple and fun games. I look forward to SSB: Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy.

I think most people are going to pick up a Wii regardless of which other system they own. At this point if you own a 360 or PS3 you are probably a hardcore gamer and as such you will probably pick up the Wii because of the price point alone. I own a PS3 and a Wii and so do most of my friends.

I agree with Chris (btw, does anyone know how to change your name?). The Wii is great, and I love it, but it hasn't really gotten much use since I beat Zelda. I don't have a 360, but I'm definitely gonna go ps3 or 360 (if the ps3 would come out with a bigger game catalog I'd go that route). To me, the only clear cut console to get is the Wii. 360 and PS3 have their strengths and weaknesses which set them apart, but Nintendo really distinguished themselves, and THIS TIME in a good way... hopefully. :-)

I got caught in the hype and bought a Wii within a first week of it coming out. The only other console i owned before that was the original XBOX. I played Wii Sports, and then then Tony Hawk Downhill Jam, but that got boring quickly. When i finally managed to get a copy of Zelda, i only clocked in about 10 hours, and then got tired of the game. About a month later i finally bought the 360, and right now, that is all i play. The Wii is only turned on when i have friends over and we play Wii sports. When i have more time, and no 360 games left to play, i will either give Zelda another try, or just get some old Gamecube games.

I love my Wii60. I can play in hi-def AND with waggle, just not at the same time.
Like some above me said, both systems have their strong points, but they compliment each other well. I want a great selection of classic downloadable games? Wii. I want great online multiplayer? 360.
Plus, the price of a PS3 plus tax is about the same as buying a Wii60 (except the Wii60 doesn't do Second Life Lite)

I'll probably be a 360 owner as well...I don't know. Maybe I'll wait for a price drop. Or maybe I'll pawn 360's with PC power on XBOX live anywhere. Who knows?
360 does have some sweet games though. Not Gears of War, which I may be the only one who thinks so. Gears of War just doesn't do anything for me.

I'll stick with my WiiS3. A year and a half on the market and I'm still not interested in more than a few 360 games...
And I'm already paying for Internet. No way am I paying for Xbox Live on top of that.

Wii60 here... love my 360, but love my Wii much, much harder. This is coming from a complete sony fanboy from previous generations, but after the PSP, Sony has just tanked... I absolutely dispise everything about them, they don't know who their audience is, nor do they care. I found the 360 and Wii and there are just way too many great games on both systems for me to have time to care about anything on the PS3. Besides, everytime I think about how much more money I have to spend again to get a PS3, I imagine all the games I'd rather be getting for wii60. To the people who have played Wii only for Zelda: What are you guys doing? There are PLENTY of great games for wii... even if they aren't nearly as substantial in content as 360 games, they are still amazingly fun. To this day, I still play Call of Duty 3, Excite Truck, Godfather, Rayman, Wario and Wii Sports constantly, whereas I've beaten Viva Pinata, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Rumble Roses, Bullet Witch, GRAW and quite a bit of Oblivion, and I just don't play them anymore. They don't consistently give me fun like nintendo games do. Maybe this is just me?

I have a wii, and will be buying a 360 at the end of the month. I will use my wii for party and pick up and put down games, and play the 360 for long term more seriuos games (as oblivion). I'll also love to play xbox live arcade as well as download the nes classics on the Wii's VC.

DSWii for me!
If I had to choose one or the other (PS3 or 360) right now, right this second, I'd have to say 360. However, I don't have time to play the games I own so odds are I won't be buying either for a few years yet. Besides, my PS2 is also part of the "has games yet to be played" category.

Wii60 = win
Im always gnna be an xbox 360 fanboy, but the wii is a nice addition to the xbox, and its cheap as chips, i will always get multiformat games on the xbox 360, only really interested in the 1st party games on wii, althought a few 3rd party games interest me like manhunt 2 and resi 4. ps3 is an overpriced piece of plastic, it has no (and dont think it will in the forseeable future) have any exclusive MUST BUY games
