The N64 version of Paper Mario is soon to hit the Virtual Console, according to a recent magazine article. If you've just finished Super Paper Mario and are after some more dimension-shifting hyper-realism , then this is the place to get it. The 2001 classic is more of an RPG than its younger sibling, with turn based combat, so bear that in mind if you're thinking of shelling out the Wii points.
No news on release dates as yet -- we'll keep you posted.

I don't really care to purchase Paper Mario again.
I just want them to hurry up and release Super Mario RPG
already.

I'll probably end up buying this one but it'll be hard to shell out ten bucks for it. This game just doesn't seem to be the same caliber as other ten dollar games such as Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time.

Finally, by far my favorite N64 game. Not to mention the first amazing RPG to hit the Virtual Console.

I've been planning to get this game, since with the never owning any nintendo console before the Wii, I have a lot of games to catch up on before I feel like playing the newer sequels.
XD I mean, only just this week did I finally get Twilight Princess. Had to beat OoT first, still waiting for MM to show up on the VC.

Ah, Super Mario RPG. The only reason I kept my SNES. The world will rejoice when that hits the virtual console. Plus then I won't feel guilty for owning a copy and not playing it (often).
As for Paper Mario, can't wait. Never played it.
