After weeks of teasing us with screen captures from its Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers trailer, Square Enix made the 55-second video public early this morning. Though a third of it is taken up by an animated, spinning crystal, the movie still manages to pack in plenty of airship shots, city scenes, and even a tender, tearful moment with the RPG's blonde-haired protagonist. Jump past the post break for the clip and some skydiving action.
[Update 1: We mixed up our Ring of Fates with our Crystal Bearers, citing this trailer as belonging to The Ring Bearers. How embarassing.]

Frankly I think this looks awesome and while it looks to have lost the team play of the other FF:CC, the game is really a lot more like an action packed full fledged final fantasy title. I'm really looking to buy this one now.

DAMMMNNnnnnn. Looks even more fun then FFXIII, which looks boring yet graphically sweet to me. Keeping an eye on it I shall.
Oh, and it reminds me of Skies of Arcadia which means awesomeness could possibly come.

The trailers do look good graphically (by Wii standards that is which I hope rise within the next few months). But I still wish we could get a MAIN Final Fantasy title on the Wii. I don't have a DS and while I might get one in the future I think its bs that sony has a monopoly on FF games for the home console. And Crystal Chronicles is sorta blah to me. I'll wait to hear more about the story, gameplay, and characters before I get my hopes up about this title. Right now I'm feeling Fire Emblem more than I'm feeling this. And the sad thing is that Fire Emblem hasn't changed much according to IGN.

I'm sure we will -- and I'm also sure that this is going to be just as good to play as any other Final Fantasy, just with the emphasis on different areas. This looks niiiice.

The action sequence looks sweetly reminiscent of Kingdom Hearts. Personally I hope it keeps looking more and more like that. All said, I've been digging the action RPG side of sqenix ever since S.O.M..

Holy Jesus. Now, I never really got into Final Fantasy (yet I've played at least a little bit of almost each one), but wow. Something triggered inside me while I watched this trailer... and it made me want to play the game really badly. Maybe it was because I too found it to be reminiscent of Skies of Arcadia, which I loved.
Whoo! Can't wait to play :D
