Not only that, but they feel the graphics really look bad. But honestly who plays these games for the graphics?

I played this game for about a half hour yesterday, 4-player. It was absolutely fantastic.
If you're a fan of the past games at all, you will find Mario Party 8 to be a graphically superior, more polished version than any of the Gamecube titles.
The Wii remote was utilized brilliantly in the mini-games, and the game board action moved quickly. The character models are more detailed, and the sound effects are clean and new. I was very impressed.
Don't believe the naysayers.

It sounds like the biggest complaint is that it isn't different enough from previous titles, but if you never owned the previous titles (like myself), I doubt that will be a problem.

Yeah, I've been a fan of every Mario Party. Sure, some of them were not as fun as others, but they've all been a ton of fun to play with a group of 2 or 3 friends. I have full confidence this will fill my Nintendo void.
