Nothing much else can be reported, however, as Joystiq lets us know that the game looks impressive and is chock full of the classic Pokemon gameplay. We expect to see you online come June 25th when the game releases in the United States.

Are those real render models?
If so, that's pretty rockin' virtually no obvious polygons there
But i give this game a "meh" for concept, especially since the actual DS game has wireless battling
I have some friends who are rediscovering pokemon right now, though, and a few of them are really after this

Phil's right. I can see no images when clicking on the gallery.
I really don't know the point of this game, besides random online battles. You can't even voice chat with your opponent, thats a huge minus for me.
The $50 bucks price tag is just the opposite of icing on cake.

Mr Khan: the concept is "the N64 games, but on the Wii." Pokemon Stadium was itself exceedingly meh.

"Our overlords at Joystiq got their hands on the upcoming Pokemon Battle Revolution while at the Nintendo Media Summit, which takes place on an island called Poketopia, which has ten different Colosseums to battle in."
wait....the Nintendo Media Summit takes place on Poketopia? And there are ten different Colosseums? What kind of summit is this? ;-)

@ JC
yes, but back then, you needed to buy a cable to battle with friends at all on the GB versions
Pokemon Stadium/Colosseum made the peer to peer battling experience relatively easier, but now that the actual game has easily accessible online battling, its no longer necessary (unless you just want the challenge)
