This should be a pretty easy one -- of everything released so far on the Virtual Console, what's been your favorite? What have you not minded spending money on? We've been talking about the VC all week, so of course this question just begs to be answered ... and we expect a hot debate. So let's get it on!We fully expect to hear a lot about various Zelda titles and maybe a few Castlevanias (we better hear some Castlevania) and perhaps an F-Zero or two, but surely someone will make JC proud and name Ninja Spirit or something.

Every time I turn on my Wii I check the Everybody Votes Channel and then plunge into SMB1. Every single freaking time. I shall beat it I swear on this.

Streets of Rage 2
I almost beat Kirby but it got a little boring, you are basically invincible half the game!

Donkey Kong Country (and DKC 2) for me.
I've also got to give it up for A Link To The Past and Kid Icarus.
NOW BRING ON THE SATURN GAMES!

Most rewarding purchase - LttP, because I've never played through it before
Most disappointing purchase - Kid Icarus, because it is so hard
Best nostalgia purchase - Super Mario World
Most looking forward to: Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Story, Majora's Mask

I would have paid triple the price for Gunstar Heroes. That game is just amazing, especially when you are playing multiplayer.

Sonic Spinball. My friend let me borrow his Genesis many years ago, and I could play that for hours.
And of course MarioKart 64 - no brainer.

Best purchase: Bomberman '93 - I don't play it a lot, but bomberman was one of those games I always liked but never had. It's a fun game here and there, and apart from the AI, it's aged well.
Worst: Zelda (NES) - I didn't have the original NES Zelda back in the day, so I figured it was one worth picking up. It was fun for a while, and I can see why it was so revolutionary at the time, but I just didn't feel compelled to play any further.
Those two are actually the only ones I've gotten (my brother used the remaining points on Castlevania). The problem I have with the VC; most games I know are good I already have, while most games I don't have I don't know are any good.
I just might pick up Star Fox on the SNES when that comes out, though. I liked the N64 one, and the music alone might be worth the purchase ;)

Well, Zelda: Lttp is the only game I've actually beaten on the VC so far, so it probably has a slight edge in total playtime, followed closely by SimCity, Ninja Gaiden (still struggling with 3rd Boss, need to goto Gamefaqs on that I guess), Ninja Spirit (never played before I got wii), Beyond Oasis (another new to me game) and Gunstar Heroes, which I knew would be good because Treasure is possibly the best shooter dev in the universe (and yes GH is really a shooter if you think about it, disguised as a beat-em-up). I've gotten 21 VC games so far, just starting to play Actraiser and Zelda II, I'm sure I'll play Zelda II till I get near the end, I still can't remember if I ever beat that game without the GameGenie on my NES but I know I got to the end on my own. Actraiser I'll probably fool with occasionally when I'm not feeling SimCity or playing StarCraft but am in that kind of mood ;)
Its funny because as much as I love the VC so far, I'm curious when/if Square will be doing anything for it, and if there is any possibility of retranslated games we never saw stateside like the first couple of Front Mission games on SNES and the later SNES Secret of Mana games. I don't even like most of Square/Enix's new games (although Children of Mana was ok for what it was on DS), but I would be willing to pony up for a fresh VC copy of Front Mission, Chrono Trigger, or Secret of Mana.
They can keep Secret of Evermore though, even though its more or less the same game the setting and progression of story were so lame they ruined it. Its telling that I can play Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana repeatedly and never get tired of the story/gameplay but in SoE it wears me down quickly even though the game itself is less challenging in some ways.

I've really enjoyed all the Zelda games. I've beaten original Zelda many times, but I've actually never tackled the second quest...til now. Now I'm working my way through Zelda 2 and I'm surprised that it's so fun and playable. Yeah it's different and I can see why it's the black sheep of the family, but it's actually a pretty sweet game.
The one game I bought that I haven't played much of is Starfox 64. I plan to do that soon. I'm really waiting for SMB2 and 3 and for the Metroids to come out.

Dragon's Curse! I had never played it (or really any of the Wonder Boy games) so it's a brand new Metroidvania-type game for me.

Surprisingly, the game I've played the most is Super Mario Bros. It's highly addicting. I still can't beat it. :(

TOEJAM & EARL: PANIC ON FUNKATRON. It was me and my sister's favorite game as kids, and we still play together thanks to the Wii.
Link to the Past gets props too.
