Dr. McCoy implored us not to post this video, yelling out in frustration, "Damnit, Jim! It's a controller, not a musical instrument," but we ignored his impassioned pleas and the draconian restrictions of the Prime Directive, all so we could share this clip with you.Italian hacker Gianni Proietti jury-rigged a Wii remote with a laptop and some OSCulator software to work with his analog synthesizer's OSC knob, waggling the controller to produce a theremin-esque sound. To demonstrate his setup, Gianni posted a recording of himself accompanying the theme music from Star Trek: The Original Series with his Wiimote movements. Raise shields, open a hailing frequency, and do some other obvious Star Trek stuff past the post break for the performance.
[Thanks, Yoxi!]

Red shirt deaths! Uhara up-skirt shots. Vulcan neck pinch. I canna' give more power Cap'n. Energize. Engage. Uhara touches earpiece. Logical. Illogical. Dammit Jim I'm a doctor. Jim, he/she/it/they is/are dead. Red alert. Man the helm Sulu. KHAN! My tribbles, let me show you them. Photon torpedoes. Captain's Log. Neutral Zone. Nucleeer wessels (the movies count right?). (also movie Typing? How primitive.) Phasers set to stun/kill/maximum. Temporal Prime Directive. Vulcan mating season every seven years. How old is Spock?
And for good measure. By the way I liked Generations and Voyager the best.

Voyager! Thank you, hvnlysoldr! I also preferred Voyager. Prolly cuz it's the black sheep. It was more of a "Lost in Space adventure" than a "We're zooming back and forth on missions being Starfleet's bitch" scenario. And yes, Generations was good, but First Contact was better.
