Today's Super Smash Bros. Brawl Dojo update actually revealed something new! Like, actually new, and not something that was also in Melee. We wonder if it was a mistake-- maybe this update was meant for September and they accidentally posted it instead of more about Fox.
Banana peels are the newest addition to the arsenal of items that serious players will ban. We look forward to the hilarity! Poor Kirby looks really annoyed, either because he slipped or because he didn't get to eat the banana and gain its Potassium Power.

I don't understand what the "serious multiplayer" players have against items anyway
All my friends say "don't play with items, come on, man!"
I love items, Four players with all items on Very High appearance is what makes that game fun (the good items with the bad, too, makes for a greater challenge. I hate Red Shells in that game, but leave them on)

Items are what makes the game more fun imo. I approve of this banana peel, and I like kirby's expression in the pic. Since we're talking about items... ever try a "pokemon battle" with 4 players in Melee? Turn off every item cept the pokeball and set the drop rate to very high when they start dropping everyone will start throwing as many as they can. It gets pretty out of control when theres like 10 pokemon on the screen and no one knows which is thiers.

I agree with the item comments and would like to add one of my favorites:
Bomb-a-thlon.
Just set the bombs and mines to very high and watch stuff go boom.
For extra effect, add party balls and crates :P

In Melee I used to play Hyrule Castle a lot, and turn off everything but Beam Swords. Then we'd high-tail it down to that one tiny little platform at the bottom of the stage and FIGHT OVER IT American Gladiators style. To me, that's the whole game. I don't even remember other levels or items anymore. As Mr. Game&Watch, I've probably cooked up millions of sausages down on that thing.
